Looks like summer has finally arrived in Montana. A forecast of 91 degrees for Independence Day. No more delays, I've got to get the pool filled!  Sunny

Feed it with Rocky-Mountain Spring Water.

That'll keep it brisk!

Post by joecool July 2nd 2014, 12:31 am

Watched the movie "America" tonight. My wife kept asking me, "When does it get better?" She was referring to all the liberal/Alinsky/hate-the-USA stuff. Told her to hang in there. The producer then took apart all their arguments and lies. Closed with an expose of Hillary Clinton's personal ties to and support of the above. Worth the time and money to see. You may or may not see something new, though. People on this site tend to be pretty well-informed.

I gotta check that out. I was watching "The View" during break at work (only time I do is when I'm forced) and they were doing game on there to guess at questions. One was how many identify themselves as a conservative. Most answered 40-41%. They were close it was 38%. The really interesting fact was just 23% identify as liberal! To my surprise we almost outnumber them 2 to 1. The other 39% are moderates. If we split the camp up in half we clearly outnumber more than more than 2 to 1. Why are we being ruled by such a few?

We live in a great country. I am proud of the US. We try to do right. It will be a great day when the presidential election is over and we are past this wreck of a presidency.

It's worth the wait.

Post by Mark Jones July 4th 2014, 7:29 am

Dan wrote this in the June thread. I would like to cover it a bit more.
To me psychology attempts to do what medical science does. Can medical doctors really cure you of the curse of death? No! Same with doctors of the mind. Point being the cure for both mind and body ulimately is Jesus. If we rely totally on God means we total abstain from counselors then why don't we prohibit physicians?

I will get back to this. Gotta leave for work.

Post by Mark Jones July 4th 2014, 11:55 am

Dan there is a world of difference between Modern Medicine and Pschobable.

1. Doctors test for something then treat that with meds that have been proven to help. They are a science based on fact.

2. Pscyo bable is not based on fact. It's all speculation. It varies from one fruit cup to the next fruitcup. (one exception to this rule is some drugs that fruitcups prescribe have real cause and effect proven to do by science to help).

A prime example and I love the shoe is Fraiser. Almost with out fail they are poking fun at pscyco bable as it changes with the whim of the moment.

As far as your question should be be trusting God for it all. Well all I can say to that is he rains on the just and the unjust. I feel strongly we should do what we know to do that is right. I will go to a Dentist when my tooth aches. I will also go to a Doctor when my body doesn't get better on it's own.

Doing something even it it's wrong is not a good mode to be in. We need to be about doing what we know to be right. Involving God in that process is the best place to start.

The only cure for sin is faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary and remaining in that.

I got up this morning, poured a cup of coffee, turned on the news, and said to the Wife,
"Happy National Birthday.  You don't look a day over Two Hundred...."

(It kind-of went down-hill from there.)  Dunno

Thanks Mark. I agree mostly with you psychology but I've known people that have found benefit from a Christian counselor that has a biblical Christ centered pov as well. There is some predictability to human behavior. Ask Claymore in his police work they use criminologist, profilers, and psychiatry to solve crimes. Their accuracy is somewhat uncanny. There are predictable patterns to how men and women behave based on the body. We Christians tend to separate the mind from the body but moods and behave are very dependent on the body. For instance when people are tired and hungry they can be grouchy instead of pleasant and sweet. Thats plain common sense the body is affecting their behavior. The root cause of a narcissistic or passive agressive type is usually exposure to a parent or adult caregiver that the child patterned his or her behavior from. Now doing something even if its wrong is plain idiotic. Liken that to a doctor poking his bare unwashed finger in you to dig a bullet out.

Wife and I went to Cedar Point amusement park July 4th. Near the end of the night they had night time parachuters drop in. Reminded me of Claymore when they announced one of them was a former Green Beret with over 9400 drops! You can take on seasonal work in northwest Ohio Claymore!

It was a pain to get out of the parking lot. We didn't get home till 2:40 am. Took 3 hrs to get from parking space to exit the Point due to an accident. Same thing happened last year. I was running on fumes with just 3 hrs sleep.

Please give the Officer's full Name, Grade, and Unit so that, at morning Roll Call, the Master CPO can give proper recognition to the event, and those involved.

Impromptu night out at the lake with my son's family. They were in a tent and the wife and I in our fifth wheel. At 3 am the wind was howling, so we rolled up the awning. At 5 am their tent was collapsing, so the kids got in with us. At 8 am, I was helping to push my son's boat off the beach. I think it's going to be an early night for me.
