I am not so much into the pomp and circumstance of giving out awards and accalaides and handing out crowns and such.  Yet I have streamlined that process so I don't waste a lot of time doing it. GRIN!  It's funny... I do it well but feel it's a very self centered and not so sure it's right to be teaching "look at me and my big self"  But hey it's in our nature to give respect where respect is due.  So accolade on!

Lots of fun.  It's funny...I have to relearn how to do it each time.  It's 4 months apart and I look at it like a new fence post.  Then bam... the light comes on.. I made notes in the Rangerdatabase so it reminds me of how to do it.  GRIN!  I call that prepping for sure.

See, not all prepping is bad. It saves time, $, and even lives!

People often cite "judging fruits" when judging hearts heading to hell. I guess Mark Jones won't have any rc members with him since most of us don't have issue with prepping for a few months supply.

Dan I liken your prepping with Doug Marsh's means of the purpose driven life. Both sound like good reasonable tracks to go down. Yet neither trust God for a outcome.

I never once said preping for a few months was wrong. I did say those that are consumed by prepping are wierd and don't like being around them (there faith is in themselves).

So Dan. Your intitled to your opinion and I am intitled to mine. I can laugh with you and laugh at you and you can do the same to me. GRIN! None perfect no not one.

Prepping for few months is what we were talking about. You did say we were heading to hell.

I don't care for the type of extreme doom gloom dig a hole and stay there types either. You said same thing before about ccw holders all being weirdo types based on some limited interaction with a bad apple you knew.  I know the Lord provides for all. I've come back from scenarios where I should be dead but for the Grace of God I'm alive.

Even Doug Marsh I don't question his faith in the redemptive work of the cross. They maybe miguided but I leave judgement to the Lord.

What does intitled mean?

Maybe that didn't come across the way you intended it, but it sure didn't sit well with me. Why don't we all quit talking about prepping. Seems to be an issue that is unnecessarily divisive.

Sure, we can keep it in the proper forum of RC.

February Greetings - Page 5 Empty Re: February Greetings

Post by Mark Jones Thu 27 Feb - 14:18

Aw. IF we don't ruffle one anothers feathers every now and then we won't know what we really believe.

Intitled or if you spell it correctly Entitled.
To furnish with a right or claim to something

I am sure glad we are not all the same. If we was it would get mighty boring in life.

So Danno. Poke on! I don't think I said your going to hell for prepping for 3 months. I will say your going to hell if you become a fruitcake prepper because your faith will no longer be in Jesus Christ. It will be in you, yourself and you.

I will also say just as I have said in Doug Marsh's case when he has put his faith in the Rick Warren plan for growth and not trusting in God and His plan for growth his efforts will not be blessed by God. If one takes their faith off of Christ for any good or bad reason and goes out on their own limb...they will not see the blessings of God in it.

So to set the record straight.
It's a Biblical good idea to:
1. Work hard and provide for your family.
2. Plan for retirement.
3. Plan for rainy days.

I have seen folks loose even at these 3 basics because God had other plans for them. Yet it's still good BIBLE advice to do these things.

If God tells you to build a ark to save the race and animals then do it.

IF you hear a voice that tells you to build a bomb, hord food and guns and hunker down...well I might encourage a closer look at God's Word and see if you can glean that out of there.... mean while I will call the authorities and have you put in a nut house. GRIN! ( I have been in these peoples houses and they are true fruitcakes).

I know a lot of Godly men that conceal and carry, have many guns and do a lot of hunting. Yet there faith is not in those things.

I am pretty good at picking out a fruitcake.
I don't know of any of those on this forum so your safe. GRIN!

Thanks and I didn't mean to come off aggressive. In the other topic it seemed to read to that way to a couple of us. Building a nuke is easy, getting enriched uranium is the hard part I hear!  Seriously, though I'll do as the situation dictates at the moment. Russians invade lock and load but until then condition yellow alert...   Very Happy
