So tonight, in the middle of our Bible Lesson, Ranger Rascal blurted out, "Who made God?".

(Holy Spirit Moment............)

I didn't say a thing to him. I turned around, picked up a ball, and held it in front of him about 30 inches above the table.

I said, "If I let go of this ball, what will happen?"

The boys said, "It will fall and hit the table".

"Are you sure about that?"

They said, "Yeah".


I said, "If I had come here yesterday, picked up the ball, and let it go, what would have happened?"

The boys said, "It would fall".

I said, "If I come here in a thousand years, pick up the ball, and let it go, what will happen?"

The boys said, "It will fall".

I said, "If I had come here when dinosaurs were on the earth, picked up the ball, and let it go, what would have happened?"

The boys said, "It would fall".

I said, "Are you sure about that?".

They said, "Yes".

I said, "So the ball falls now, it always would have, and it always will?"

They said, "Yes".

I said, "The Rule is now, it always has been, and it always will. God made that Rule. He was here before that Rule."

There's one more very happy guy up in heaven. At the age of 99, Billy Graham is at the feet of Jesus, hearing Him say, "Well done." Makes me tear up just thinking about it.

I think back to the last couple hundred years when God raised up evangelists who were able to have a great impact on great crowds. Our culture is so different now. Now, it's like Mark says, "one to one."

The Wife & I just watched a Preacher on TV shouting a "Word of Knowledge" that God is going to mightily reveal himself to the world in 2018 "as lightening". My Wife asked me what I thought about that. I said, "It would be nice, if it were so.".

I guess that I have come to value Patience and Discernment over Excitement & Expectation as a Christian. Not that I'm not Excited about our Lord, and we can often see His works and intervention, but there were a lot of Christians (smarter than me; like the Apostle Paul) who expected to see God's coming in their lifetime, & they were incorrect.

p.s.  If your AG you will just have to over look the man and look at what he is saying. He is on the same earth as you and I.  We all make mistakes.  Not perfect yet.

Yeah, I reflexively grimaced when I went to the site. He put himself through a lot of pain years ago, and gave the enemy some ammo as well. Hope he's back to doing some good again. On a related note, Benny Hinn did an online interview recently. He said he had gone too far down the prosperity path, relying on what he had been taught, instead of searching the Scriptures himself. Better late than never.

A nice, quiet Sunday morning doing a ride-along with my son. Started with a meth bust, moved on to a hit-and-run (bus stop bench and fire hydrant were the only casualties), found a reluctant material witness for a homicide, and wrapped it up with the Case of the Bald Ballerina (male meth head who ended up on top of someone's roof).

All in 20 degree weather with 40 mph winds.

What a coincidence!  I did the same exact thing Sunday as well .... not!  Just went to a gOLD Timers lunch after church.  I hit the 50 year old mark last month so I was advanced.

I guess the guy on the roof was HIGH at the time.
