How is National HQ Disseminating Information?

I want to be Constructive, here.

I had been looking at the Web Site for National Royal Rangers for updates for training opportunities. I did find links to register and to take On-Line Courses, but didn't find much for On-Site Training, other than the past LEAD Conference.

So, I thought that, maybe, they would have more current information on their Facebook page. I went there, and found that their last posting was on December 14 of 2022, and it was about LEAD Registration (which has come & gone).

However, in the margin of the Facebook page, I found a link to National R/R's Twitter account. OK, as this New Generation feels that Twitter puts out information more quickly, I checked that. The last posting on there was from August 18 of 2022.

Again, I am attempting to stay Positive, here.

Is there something that I am missing?

Not having an outpost for several years, I would still go to the national website from time to time. It has seemed to be very static, however, with nothing new to say. Perhaps there just isn't enough of a national staff anymore to keep leaders up to date. Or maybe they rely more on district or sectional staff to do all the communication these days. Of course, in my state, they no longer exist. Only one outpost left.

Our District does a pretty good job of trying to put out information. However, with them just being a "District", you would expect the higher levels to have more events coordinated (or at least be able to put out the word as to WHO has events scheduled).

We paid $95.25 to charter a little outpost with 6 or 7 boys. Now I realize that there are administrative expenses in an organization. But I DO expect them to Administrate....

How much of those Charter Fees go to District?

I too have been by the National Website recently & found it to say much & little at the same time.

It seemed chock full of very general information, but specifics seem much harder to come by.

Silence could a sign of changes being pondered. hard to say though.

Mark usually has the best inside info.

Does anyone know, did they ever finish all of the leadership merits?

I don't know about any of the above.

I see that they have a new Leader's Manual (about $46.00). It looks like they are backing away slightly from the Doug Marsh book thingy, and have gone back to the 3-ring type.
