And put you out of your misery? No way!

This is going to be slow and lingering.

My coworker was showing me his new Ruger LCP yesterday. That's a nice little gun, wouldn't mind having one of those. Cool

Nobody "needs" a gun... until you NEED it. Then it's worth it's weight in gold! Boils down to who is willing to have the other say "I told you so"... Wink

You only wear ONE at a time? Strap all three on! Laughing

J/k. I only take one at a time too, but it's like shoes. The same pair doesn't go with everything you do. You gotta have variety!

Laughing I suppose that's a relative figure! I will say I have more shoes now after 13 years of marriage than I did when I was single! Of course I rarely buy any of my clothing because my wife takes care of me. In fact, if anything ever happened to her I'd be completely lost!

I'm very self-sufficient.

Christi, it works for you too. If he gets one you have to get one too. At least as far as guns go I don't have to compete!

At some point a pocket XDs, Shield, or Nano would be nice for, "throw an go" in the pocket. The XDm works for large pockets but carries more weight and size

Insofar as the "LCP" is concerned....I have handled one, but the dealer would, obviously, not let me take it apart.

In looking at the parts diagram, it looks like it shares the same weakness as my Kel-Tec P3AT.

The firing pin has a notch in it for the firing pin retaining pin to go through. The back of the slide is open for the hammer to travel in, and that gives sand, dirt, sawdust, & pocket lint a way to find its way into the firing pin channel and cause fail-to-fire.

I had that happen with my Kel-Tec after sawing wood with the gun in my pocket. Now, when I carry it (unless I feel that there is a High Probability of immediately needing it) it is inside of a plastic Zip-Lock Bag.

There is a commercial for Midway USA (Hunting/Reloading supplies) on the Outdoor Channel.  One of them has Owner Larry Potterfield talking about how he needs a game camera for the soybean patch, one for under the big oak tree, and one for where that Monster Buck hangs out.

The next scene shows his wife (wearing a skirt, but seen only from the knees down) saying, "Honey.  How many game cameras does one man need?"

She then turns, on the balls of her feet, and the camera follows her as she walks away.

I thought that Larry was only bragging about his wife's legs.  He had the same format for a commercial for Game Cameras, Hunting Boots, and other equipment.

Then I realized the point of the commercials.

In each one, his wife was wearing a different pair of shoes!

Good advert. For women it can be purses, bags, jewelry, shoes, etc. For men guns, bows, hunting gear, computers, cars, power tools, etc.

We each have our, "Needful Things".

Good to see you back Claymore.

The LC9 has the same open notch as it's essentially the same gun albeit slightly larger and of course chambered in 9mm. It does collect lint within the slide, so I clean in sporadically even without firing. I typically remove it when I get going on heavy duty work projects, more because I don't want to have it rust away because of the sweat.
