Common sense tells us where this is all going (to end).

The Culture Rot thread was started around 7 years ago and the first page shows a prediction about pedophilia. It's normalization is almost here. The sexual grooming of children continues almost unchecked. When it comes to Jeffrey Epstein's (he didn't kill himself) Pedo Island, there wasn't much accountability. Except for one prince, no one paid the price. And he never spent a day in court, let alone prison. The rest of the elites are being protected. The sexual grooming of children continues almost unchecked in the hedonistic culture.

One political party, even when they thought they were going to lose both houses of Congress, had already doubled down on their future leftist promotion of cultural issues. Now, with their saving of the Senate, they claim to have a mandate to do so. And the other political party is wringing their hands and whining that the issue of abortion is why they lost. A pox on both of their houses.

Christ-following men and women need to adopt the Spartans' attitude. Though we be increasingly fewer, we need to stand in the gap and hold back the invading horde as long as it takes.


For nearly 2000 years, Christians have been awaiting the Rapture. No doubt, each generation looked at their own culture and thought it couldn't get any worse. And here we are, way beyond Sodom in deed. "When, Lord?" Hang in there. We're just a couple of prophecies away.

I have been hearing "these are the last days" all my life. I have never really believed it....until now.

You assesment is right on the money.

Our nation has become a degenerate, corrupt, Molech worshipping cesspool. Revival is the only thing that can save the nation. But I suspect the Lord may not give us another chance.

I remember one Mayberry episode where Gomer said, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

Now that there is just plain common sense. Is there someone out there that has fooled you twice, thrice, or more often that that? Perhaps a politician? Walk away and put your trust in Christ. He doesn't keep shifting the goalposts, and he doesn't pull the ball away, like Lucy always did.

We Americans are such newbies. I just read about a family that has run a tattoo shop for 28 generations. Talk about a hard act to follow. They began in 1300 in Egypt, giving religious pilgrims tattoos. Eventually, they moved to Jerusalem and have continued an unbroken tradition for all these centuries. The Razzou family patriarch is a devout Coptic Christian, like all of his forefathers.

This administration does seem oddly remniscent of the Obama administration. The "Biden" whitehouse is following the Obama playbook to the letter.

But I am not so sure that Obama himself wasn't a puppet. He may be puling Bidens strings, but I think somone else is pulling his.

I was thinking this morning how the federal government, and some states, are moving towards expunging the criminal records of many of those with drug convictions. Foolish, at best.

Because leftists have no common sense when it comes to criminal justice matters, they will expand their largess to other criminals. Someday, they will clear the records of sex offenders, including those with child porn/sex assault convictions. Though their motive is more sinister, they will be able to convince the weak-minded that love trumps all.

My Dad grew up during the Great Depression, and it shaped him into the person that he was. A hard-working man who didn't have time for nonsense. What would he think of the culture now? "Has everyone lost their minds and common sense?"

The times that we are living through right now, and the tough times that are going to come, will do more than shape us. They will make us or break us, depending on our worldview.

If you're not sure what to believe about that, look for someone in your circle of friends that you can talk with. Better yet, register on Ranger Chat and join the conversation. Iron sharpens iron, and I've still got a few dull areas.

In an intelligence assessment that was internally released, and externally exposed, Catholics who desire a Latin Mass are considered to be racists and potentially dangerous extremists. After a couple days' of blow back, they pulled the assessment back.

But the damage is done, and there's yet another ugly dent on what used to be the shiny, chromed body of the FBI. What a shame. Who can you trust these days? I'll give you a hint. The initials are JC.

A man that I know, who has young children, has quit watching the news or paying any attention to what's going on outside his professional sphere. He understands the worst of the culture and keeps his distance. He says that he sleeps easier and doesn't get spun up. I totally get what he's saying. Some out there may be reading my various threads and think that I don't have a life outside of watching and reporting on the culture. If i ignored it, my life would be a bit easier and I'd get a little more joy out of retirement. One day, I'll do that.

But not yet. I was trying to put into words what I was thinking of this morning and came across an illustration, which I'll steal. Anybody remember the 19th century traveler who got himself into a mess? A guy named Gulliver? Yeah, he fell asleep on the ground, not able to pay attention to what was going on. When he woke up, he found himself completely tied up and at the mercy of little people. Nice little story, but we wouldn't want it to come true. Don't go in to a deep sleep and wake up helpless against the culture.

There's no sense in that.

A Lap Dog will lay on the carpet and sleep, until it's time to play or get fed. A Guard Dog is always on alert. He is always listening and looking for things being amiss.

The Leftists want a nation of Lap Dogs. They claim that we don't need to worry about Defense, Production, or Personal Protection; They will handle all of that.

I had no idea that Thomas Paine was the originator of the term "sunshine patriot." I quote....

I believe he wrote it to the soldiers at Valley Forge, a particularly trying time, fraught with danger. And so, with a nod to Mr. Paine, I will attempt my own paragraph...
