Glad you're home safe.
Yeah, I saw that.
I was wondering why I was able to get my stainless LCP so cheap (around $279.00; could have had the Blue Model for $220.00).
But even the Range Sergeant at the P.D. thought that it was a pretty neat pistol. He had not fired one. I had a few rounds left after the Qualification Course, and let him run some through. He was shooting bowling pins with it.
Also...
The new LCP2 has a Suggested Retail of $349.00 vs $259.00 for the Basic LCP. Better sights, nicer trigger pull, slide-lock on empty magazine; all nice. Worth kicking the price up by 40%, though?

Re: Finally Pulled the Trigger
For some reason I thought the LCP II had gone to a striker fire, but I was mistaken. I'm happy with what I've got...

Your assumption may have not been totally unfounded.
I believe that there may have been a rumor to that effect, in the past.

Re: Finally Pulled the Trigger
I know the LC9 went to striker fire, maybe that's why I assumed the LCP would do it too.
What is your opinion and preference between the two systems?

Re: Finally Pulled the Trigger
Pretty-much absolutely Striker, if all other things are equal. I told stories of the hammer & firing pin channel being conduits for dirt and sawdust.
My Kel-Tec gave me a series of misfires after I had it in my pocket when I was chain-sawing wood. I had been carrying it for defense, also. With that gun, there is not really a User-Authorized way to check the firing pin channel for lack of obstructions, other than to put a round in the chamber and pull the trigger.

Not my preferred way to check for obstructions!
Some are big into hammer fired only but I like striker fired for that reason too.
Keltecs with gun lovers is a hate or love thing. I'm seeing that with Taurus too
