Now don't go giving it all away so soon. I have 3 months of rangers going on and it can't be gone yet.

Re: June Greetings 2015
Here in the South, “Homecoming” is a big whoop-dee-doo event at churches. It is one Sunday per year, there are generally guest speakers & singers, all past members from near & far are invited, and there is a big church dinner afterward.
Well, this is the 50th anniversary of the founding of the church (13 people gathered in the living room of the first pastor for praise & worship). So we have praise groups from around the nation, representatives from National Headquarters, previous pastors, etc. on the way here, and it is this next Sunday.
Last night, after Rangers, I ended up on a work detail to help to move table dollies, volleyball nets, plywood, and other assorted items from the Fellowship Hall to storage across Town. After finishing that work at/about 9:30 PM, I passed by the church, saw about 6 cars remaining in the lot, and so I stopped in to see if there were any minor details that someone may need help with.
The Church Administrator (Chief of Staff; lady, about 55 years old) was there, and she was setting up the dining tables in the Fellowship Hall. So I started working, arranging the tables, moving chairs, and arranging the chairs “just so” so that all of the tables were identical (seating for 304 people). She then said that I could help by putting white slip-over linen covers on all of the chairs, so I started doing that.
Eventually, I noticed that she and I were the only ones working in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone else had left. I wanted to leave, too, but I had just mailed 2 “Thank-You” cards to this lady and her work-made from Women’s Ministries, literally, an hour earlier. (How to you spell “Thanks for the work, but I’m leaving?” H-I-P-P-O-C-R-I-T-E.)
Next thing, I notice, it is 11:30 PM, and I left my cell phone in my truck, and I hadn’t called the Wife. I called the home phone, and there was no answer. So I figured that she was in bed. 5 minutes later, I saw her walk into the Fellowship Hall, glare at me, and leave.
Well, I figured that I was already in “Dutch”, so I might as well finish the work.
Eventually all of the tables & chairs were set up, I had all of the chairs covered, she had set the tablecloths & centerpieces, and I was out of there at 12:45 AM (so between Rangers and set-up, that was 6 hours that I worked at Church).
I got home, and the Wife was mad that I hadn’t called. I apologized twice, and then went to bed.
The next morning, I got my coffee, and apologized twice more for not calling, stating that I thought that she would be in bed. She said, “ I was worried about you, and I even called the Pastor, looking for you, last night”. OK. I apologized again.
She then sent a text to the Pastor, stating that she found me last night, and that I was in the Fellowship Hall, setting up tables & chairs for Sunday. His reply was, “A true man of God”.
Well, the Pastor’s supporting me did not please the Wife.
I then said, “You know, even Mary & Joseph were upset when they were looking for Jesus and found HIM in the Temple.”

Ha! It feels good to get into trouble doing the right thing. Next time call. Ha! I am siding with her on this one. Right..... well maybe I have been guilty of the same thing. So order flowers and take her out to Red Lobster and treat the Queen like she needs to be treated.
Good Job. Your in the Jesus crowd again. HA!

I did hurt my arm. Doc says Tendonitis in the left bicep & strain of elbow & wrist. Spent the last week on restriction. No using the left arm.
Company gave me a new guy to be my "arms" & do all the lifting.
Yesterday I got checked out again & Doc says getting better, 10 lb restriction on left arm
was in Detroit today, & since I was in the passenger seat I shot some pics
Heading into Downtown
Downtown, the large building with the GM logo on it is the Renaissance Center-GM's headquarters
Michigan Central Station-once an incredibly ornate place, but its been vacant since 1988
lot of motorcycle cops-near a horrible accident-more on that later

Re: June Greetings 2015
Dinner is over & now I can go on
We were headed down the highway leaving Detroit, when 5 minutes later suddenly the highway screeched to a halt. We crept forward for a minute or two then several police cars & motorcycles began streaming down the shoulders, followed by an ambulance, then more cops. Then 2 MDOT (Michigan Depart of Transportation) trucks arrived & began to lay down flares to close off the highway. Knew it was going to be bad then
We crept down to the next exit & got off. Crawling down the access road for about a mile we came in view of the scene.
Right away we spotted a white sheet laying in the road near the center divider. Then another over on the shoulder about 100' down the road.
As we drew alongside we could see the first sheet was bloody & a motorcycle boot was sticking out from under the sheet. About 40' down the road was a helmet. another 10' on was another motorcycle boot.
A line of spectators was along the road taking pictures of the human wreckage & when traffic stopped for a minute a lady turned to us & said "A motorcycle rider was killed" My partner asked "is that another one under the bridge?"
She replied "no that's one of his legs"
Dear Jesus...
Apparently the poor guy was traveling east, lost control, struck the center divider & was catapaulted over the wall into the westbound lanes & struck by several vehicles. one of the most awful accidents I have seen. Poor guy, at least it was quick (for him).

a short while later I realized that our last delivery had delayed us about 5 minutes (another truck was ahead of us) Had we not been delayed, we would have been right there, either in it or real close
