FCF Mugs at Winter Outing

We had 103 folk attend our Winter Lockin this past weekend.

Here is a report and link to the big event..

My job was to make wooden mugs. We made 13 of them.

Looks like it was a busy day! What type of camera were you using? Looks like a fish eye lens, and it also looks like you had it mounted to your chest in some shots. Was that your hands free video camera that you took stills from?

Yes I used a go pro chesty mount and just grabbed some clips from it.

I got a new HD video camera but can't work with it like I can the go pro. Just let it run and then pick a few shots and video from it.

This year at pow wow I am using the new sony camera to make a promo for our District. Last year I asked for people to submidt photos and videos of their outpost but as usual it never happened.

Usually people promise big but turn around and forget. You'll only get it if you keep after them. I don't have time for that.

Especially with pictures. I told our DC who helps me with Rangers on Sunday nights when he isn't on a GMA around the District. I will just have to collect the video and pictures myself... he said..but who will do...this and that and that...grin! I said I will get those things covered. GRIN! Everyone is busy at pow wow. I know I sure am.

Can you tell the difference between a bad grin and a good grin?

If I saw the circumstance that made you grin I would know if its bad or good. If you read a recent 60+ fb posts I got into some real empowered people who will not give up the man-empowers-man doctrine. He is a nat'l academy grad. Its still out there. You'd been Grinning with a lot of smh...

Sadly these folk are caught up in the other gospel the Bible talks about. It looks like Christ but once you look at it.. one can see and smell the foul smell and sounds that come out of it. They will kill you defending their gods.

Yep, you may remember Kurt Griffiths from RF he likes to put quotes up on status from Rick W. and John Maxwell. It wasn't just him but many others in pastoral positions came on and said my view of the Holy Spirit only empowering us was not biblical. Saying such things like the bible shows examples of pastors empowering others with their anointing. Told'em man gets the glory when man empowers not God.  

They confuse the actions of men like the apostle Paul teaching, equipping, or discipling others like Timothy with giving them power to do what God Wills. 

I even gave them the invident with Pilate and Jesus where Christ said you have no power except it be given to you from above. The reply was Pilate wasn't part of the church. 

I wonder why its so hard to point to Jesus alone?  This is a problem in Africa where the "man of God" is the new witch doctor. Meaning they go to him for power to appease their ancestral spirits.
