We had a great time racing these Ranger Mobiles. (A modified Cub Cart that will handle Adults as well) We have been racing these for over 16 years.

Here is the plans. You won't need a big ramp if you have a good hill.

Ranger Mobile Race Empty Re: Ranger Mobile Race

Post by Mark Jones October 3rd 2013, 4:00 pm

Glad to do it. My grandpa built my first cubcart when I was in the 3rd grade or so. We pushed it all over that vacant lot next to our house and up and down the sidewalks. It was a very good memory. I can remember the lag bolts that would come out of the wheels and we would work to try and put them back in that ole hole that was all worn out. Ranger Mobiles are a step from the cub cart. Solid axles all the way across. Also after seeing several kids and remembering my feet getting dragged down the road under the seat... we modified it again and then added the bungies to bring the wheels back straight. Limiting the gap on the limit blocks to 1/8" has kept the carts from being over steered during ramp racing. One might want to make 2 settings on them. One for ramp racing another for being pushed down the parking lot and driving around in a lot...

Great memories. Boys can build these easy enough and have a great time doing it.

We did buy some better wheels to put on them. Makes them go lots faster...GRIN!

Good stuff.
