Took my high school's boys on a weekend camping retreat once. A couple of them brought back a rattlesnake they killed. After telling them how dangerous an event that was, we cooked it up. Tasted good. I let the super know in case of blowback from any parent that found out.

Ha. I announced it during praise report time sunday morning services.  They have learned to expect things like this from our Rangers.  We have eaten snakes before. Tastes like chicken.  

Ok.  I didn't eat any snake meat but 2 of the boys did and one of the boys commanders did.  Me I gotta keep my diet (fast food) ha.!  That snake wasn't fast enough.

The 17  year old said how do I cook it.  I said I don't know.  Split it down the belly and removed the guts and cook and chew on whats left.  Bony he said it was.  They did like it.  Offered me some.  Na...never have been good at eating stuff that doesn't come out of the grocery.  EXCEPT on Wild game feeds... then anything is lunch!

When I head butted that 12" dead tree that had fallen across the path... I became 1" shorter.  My neck is still a bit sore from that sweet treat.  Every bone in my neck popped.  

God is good He protects us even when we don't see it coming.

p.s. I wonder if we can eat those little birdies that fly around our head when we knock it good and hard. Never know!

I saw stars once when slipped on ice I fell back once and hit my head I didn't see anything in between vertical and horizontal positions.
