waterproofing canvas
It's that time of year where my 4 little tax deductions pay off and this year I'm stepping up and making my 1 pole shelter. I've spent some time designing and such. Have a decent plan.
my main question would be waterproofing. Is there any products / process you would recommend?

Bear grease. But they don't tend to cooperate.

Re: waterproofing canvas
I used to have a canvas tent, and there was some mineral solution that I purchased in quarts and brushed on. Success was marginal. I still had to spray Camp-Dry on the seams, and even that was "iffy".
Actually Sailor-Boy (see the Previous Post) should be able to tell you what he used back on those Frigates and Three-Masted Schooners that he was on.

Re: waterproofing canvas
Recently I used 50% linseed oil and 50% mineral spirts. Mixed it up and soaked all in a bucket until it was saturated. Did 4 tarps cost about 80.00 bucks.
Hung on a line to dry for 7 days. Still a bit wet. Had a hard rain. It did pretty good. I had a seam that had a dribble.
If you want closer to pierod correct that is how to do it. I have been told thin latext paint and brush it on. I think I will just die the tarps next time and use a modern waterproofing material. When it rains. I like dry.
