Memo: Use a fork truck next time.

Praying that it's just muscle strain, Chris. Had recurring bouts with my back years ago, until a miracle happened.

UPDATE
I had my heart ultrasound & stress test yesterday.

I was hoping for a cheers  result but I got a Rolling Eyes

During the stress test I was doing fine, doctor said my heart looked perfect. BUT then pain started in my left arm...then numbness in my left hand.
Doctor said even though my heart & blood pressure looked just fine, since I had pain they have to score it as an abnormal test & send me to a cardiologist. Suspect  He said there are a few heart probs that do not show up on a stress test & it is also possible the pain is not heart related.

I could tell by his words & demeanor that he is 99.9% sure nothing is wrong with my heart. But because of bureaucratic rules, I have to see a cardiologist to rule out the heart for sure, before they can start hunting the real cause thumbs down

Prayer request BEmeter

just prolongs the time I am stuck on "light duty" in the warehouse, making $1 less an hour & working less hours Not Working

Well, the good news is that they didn't find anything immediately threatening or signs of damage.

Obviously, the bad news is that you are not through.

Pain like that can caused by different things; low Potassium, pinched Nerve, even a pinched blood vessel, and of course the old Fuel Pump.

I remember having pain shoot in my arms, loss of sensation in fingers, and other pains due to cervical disc pinching nerves. After this job you've been working harder and longer hours that could be catching up to you.

Pain is a daily thing for me. I pull stretch, lean ways and postions daily. Yesterday I was out in the country poles were 200 feet away from me on both sides and my trouble was in the mid span. The ladder started out at the right angle and when I got up there I was just about laying flat on the ladder... had a guy stop and ask if I was ok..I guess it looked pretty wild! I responded... ahh. I do it all the time.

Post by Claymore September 15th 2014, 11:11 am

Yesterday after church, my wife asked our Pastor's wife if they wanted to get together for lunch at a restaurant.

She is very pretty, very petite, and very sweet, and said that her husband has been feeling overly tense lately, as if he'd drank too much coffee.  She said that she doesn't know if it is stress or physical, but that he was going to go home and rest for a couple of hours prior to the evening service.

So we understood, I was getting ready to help lock up the building, and stopped to talk to the Pastor briefly about the previous day's Firearms Safety Class.

As I started to talk, I could hear his wife yell from over 90 feet down the hall, "RICK, YOU NEED TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW AND GO HOME & LAY DOWN!"

I said (under my breath), "I wonder where HIS stress is coming from?"

Post by Mark Jones September 16th 2014, 9:54 am

Friends don't put those Pastors up any higher than you are on your worst day. They are as human as we are and fail just like we do. God positioned them in doing the business of the church and to bring the message...they have no super human abilities. They fail as often as we do and are of no higher standing then we are.

It is true we need to respect and get behind the office of the Pastor..yet on the personal level don't expect more than you are on your worst day.

This bit of advice will keep your eyes off the man and keep your eyes on Jesus. So WHEN your pastor fails I didn't say IF..I said WHEN you won't be let down by it.

I follow our Pastors, Leaders, Commanders, Directors as they follow Christ..as soon as they leave the wisdom found in the Bible I just step back and let them flounder in their own foolishness.

Yet when the Holy Ghost gets to moving and you know it's of God...get in there with all your heart, soul and mind and be a blessing. God will reward your efforts.

UPDATE
My heart ultrasound was normal! Prayer request 3452256262
My abdominal ultrasound was not. I have a minor liver issue & a few small kidney stones.
On wednesday when I returned to work from vacation, I was told that because of my "abnormal stress test" I will not be allowed to work until I get a clean bill of health from the cardiologist. thumb down

Today-had my first appointment with the cardiologist, He said my heart looks & sounds good. He wants to check blood flow to the heart before he declares me clear.
Monday morning I have a "Nuclear stress test". They will inject some radiocative dye into my blood & put me on the treadmill. Then an X ray will show where the dye went.

Some wives as well meaning as they are can emasculate and take full control of the husband much like a mother to a son. Eventually, a man has enough and snaps leaving her to think he has some other stress.
