A semi-full auto hybrid? Empty Re: A semi-full auto hybrid?

Yes, I have seen the "bump gun" concept.

It slips through the machine-gun loophole, because the gun moves back & forth with recoil, and technically you are pulling the trigger with each shot.

It is not terribly accurate, because the concept requires the firearm to be moving back & forth for the trigger to come forward and slap your finger.

In my opinion, it is just giving the anti-gunners a really easy excuse to outlaw all semi-autos.

I don't see how it's legal. I've heard that even using a shoelace to create full auto is illegal, so I don't see how this stock is any different.

Seems to be legal. I agree with Claymore we don't need to confuse antigunners anymore than they already are. Obama and Bloomberg were both corrected by media when spreading disinformation on the Sandy Hook being full auto. Heck, haven't even seen pictures of the alleged AR-15 he used. Most retaillers won't even offer the belt fed model anyways.

It is different in that you are still actually striking the trigger with your finger when using the "bump" device.

With the "shoe string" trick, the string actually becomes a functioning part of the rifle. It is essentially an "auto sear" that pulls the trigger when the charging handle goes fully forward. IT is pulling the trigger; not YOU.

The LAW says that, if the gun discharges more than 1 round (or more than 2 with a double-barrel shotgun) with the single pull of the trigger, then it is a machine-gun.

The "bump" fires only 1 shot per strike of the trigger with your finger. The "shoe string" keeps on shooting by being activated by the increasing/decreasing/increasing string tension.

Here is a picture of it.

Belt fed bump fired semi autos would not be a good picture to associate with the MSR's.

Here's the rub..........

Congress could pass a bill to update the Machinegun Act and add the "bump fire" devices just like they added "auto sears" back in the 1980's.

I think that they are not doing it - intentionally.

This makes many legal semi-automatics capable of "full-auto" fire.

Now they have the pictures to convince the sheeple that semi-automatics can just spray bullets to mow people down and have no legitimate sporting purposes.

You are a fellow conspiracist...  I do believe things are "allowed" or "permitted" and sometimes "organized" in order to achieve an agenda. Sometimes we are able to setback their plans. I still believe there are some who want to spin the lie that all we need are shotguns for hunting and self defense do it to prevent a new American civil/revolutionary war where we have tactical rifles.

AR-15 up to 600 yards.
Shotguns up to 75 yards maybe more if its scoped with a rifled barrel.
Pistols under 75 yards

Notice guns with long range, useful in tactical situations, highly customizable, and interchangeable parts are to be banned first.

MSR's I hear account for .003% of gun related crimes yet are first to be banned?  Banning private unsupervised swimming pools would save more lives.  If banning pools saves, "just one life..." isn't it worth it um

You cannot overthrow a Tyrant with a swimming pool.

That's why there is nothing written into the Constitution to protect them.

I can't argue with that. That's one reason I bought te AR in case the scat hits the fan.

Are you saying its really not about saving one child's life... Thank God for 2A or we'd been done for a long time ago.
