Welcome cmdrPaul
Paul, welcome to RangerChat.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
How long have you been with Rangers?
How big is your Outpost.
What kind of Aircraft do you fly?

Re: Welcome cmdrPaul
Thanks for the warm welcome. I've been a commander for six years, and a Sr. Commander for 3. We have 9 boys who are regulars (6 DR and 3 RK). Our church has had a strong and well supported RR program for a long time. Unfortunately, our girls program is a bit weak. (I oversee that also... Trouble finding dedicated women to work in it).
I graduated VFCC with a degree in Missions, and work with a Teen Challenge missionary setting up international TC sites.
Oh yea, I also have job that pays the bills... I fly for a private company, United Refrigeration. I fly a Citation VII (CE-650) and a Bombardier Challenger 601 (CL-601-3r)
In the past I have flown a Lear jet, starship, king air 350, and a beech airliner.

Great!
I don't know if you saw the post, but Strods is working on setting up a R/R Outpost with a Teen Challenge Group (Stellar Idea).
I'm a low-hour low-speed pilot. I did my G/A work in Cessna 150/152/172's & Cherokees.
I was an ultralight flight instructor working on transitioning my hours to Sport Pilot Instructor when a student put us into a pancake stall on climbout at 200 feet.
Did you train in the Military, or pay for it yourself?
NICE Aircraft, by the way. You've got to be on the Premier Aircrew for your Company.

Re: Welcome cmdrPaul
The Outpost / Teen Challenge group sound great. I'll have to look it up.
I did the flight training on my own, a little at a time while going to Bible college. When I graduated I worked as a traffic reporter from a beech sport (very low budget) and as an instructor for about 2 years. Charter for about 4 more years, then this company ever since '95. God has blessed me with a job that gives me quite a bit of time to do my ranger activities as well as time with family!

Ooh, Bible College Graduate.
I just want to give you a "heads-up"; some of the guys here can be a bit blunt (but they don't mean any harm).

Have you been on any other Royal Rangers related forums in the past?

Re: Welcome cmdrPaul
Usually, it's those two guys above that are blunt with each other. The rest of us sit back, watch and eat popcorn.

Average. Yeah, Right!
This from a guy who was almost awarded a Combat Star on his Service Medal for having one of his own men fire a 20mm cannon round past his Coconut.
