Don't look at me. I will let you down. Grin! Fix those eyes heavenly.
The Annex is just about ready for the BAC event. Is that Backpacking Action Camp? I don't know.
Those guys that keep changing these titles have me wondering if they disappeared and I had something to do with if it would be wrong and I would miss heaven.. Perhaps I could plead insantity???? Ok.. I won't do that..but I would like to give them a quick hard kick in the left cheek cause they are not using their brains they are sitting on them. HAR!
Mark Jones
p.s. I am going to have the boys make up some alchohol stoves and use them instead of the white gas... after last times fire in the class room... they don't seem to be so safe..

Sorry Mark still not right, I just wanted to say its PraiseMoves I am into, not karate. I never looked into karate enough to know you could self teach it, we never had the room. If you are interested in finding out more about PraiseMoves I talked about it in another post on the forum.
And to say that all you have been doing is camping......you are not giving yourself enough credit.....your the one that has been busy along with everything else you said

Can't be too hard on Mark in between vacuuming the annex, building bow/drill kits, FCF, and pow wows he'll mix something up. He's finally getting that Simeon means Period Correct when he says PC!

Finally had a wednesday with no rain!
Got some fire Craft refresher last night, did A frame & teepee fires. Kids had lots of fun getting those fires going-t was kind of windy. finally had to resort to accelerants as time was running out. Plan on doing some more with fires next week

Been a good weekend so far
Man what a great service we had this morning! Our Kids church person didn't show, our District supplied Pastor didn't show & it didn't matter. The Lord provided a message for us! One of our own (A Children's Pastor) stood up & brought the Word.
best service we had had in quite a while. God is good

Re: July Thread
Yep no call, no show. In the case of the kids church people it appeared to be a miscommunication. They said they would be away on vacation last weekend , but it seems they would not be back until later today.

Re: July Thread
We had a great JTT/ now BAC Junior Training Camp this past Thursday - Saturday. Did backpacking and took the boys to the Buffalo River I had several tell me they took the backpacking merit at merit camp and hated it but this time it was fun.
The jumping clifts water pool generally about 12 foot deep was down by 7 feet and we had to find another pool with jumping clifts. The main jumping cliffs pool had 11 items in it. One was a 40.00 buck knife that was still in great condition. We found 3 pocket knives, 3 pairs of glasses, beer cans, duck tape and several other items along with a fishing reel. Saw 3 snakes and at one time the boys yelled out..it's a bear, it's a ground hog, its a ferrel hog...so when it go got back to me I said boys my story is it's a 27 foot tall grizzly..so what was it really... a FERREL HOG.
Lots of fun and accomplishment this weekend. I also got to go fishing Sunday afternoon and caught over 30 fish. 10 bass and the rest sun perch. Was a great float.
Last night in Rangers we cut the Card board boat in half and made 2 boats out of it...well the start of 2 boats. Did some rope craft review and planning.

Because we've had so much rain, I hit water 2' down today when I had to bury a couple dead chickens. I have never seen the table that high. This is crazy!

Oh well. She'll probably get over it

I found an old A/C in the attic and installed it in the bedroom. Wow what a good night's sleep.

Re: July Thread
I did the same thing in the back of my pickup and they called me a REDNECK! I had my son and his friend camping in the back of the pickup shell so I made a temp stand and a open window in the shell and sealed off the outside air just to the window unit. It was nice and COLD in that camper shell. Little walmart unit but it worked great.

I have 3 years to design an A/C unit with Donnie who is an hvac tech for Federal Reserve. Guess what comes in 3 years...

My dad was a redneck, so I guess I was a rednecks kid, I didn't appreciate it then but now I am o.k. with it. Its how I learned to be resourceful, most of the time that is.

Army couple! Does she salute you... J/k
My dad came from WV so if hillybilly and redneck are the same thing then I got it too.
Rednecks know how to have fun and don't care what others think!

Heck no.
I was also her Rigger at the Parachute Club.
I told her, "....keep talking smart, and you'll get a surprise if you ever use your emergency 'chute."

My dad is from the mountains of Tennessee, my mom from a local farm. I got it bad.
If you think "cordon bleu" is a leash on your neighbors blood hound, you might be a red neck.

I took a 45 min ride to Ashland to check Fin Feather and Fur for ammo. They had ammo galore in all calibers. From .22 LR mini-mags to .223 and 9mm FMJ. I got my limit of 100 rnds of mini-mag and 1 - 50 rnds of 9mm FMJ. I also put the Smith & Wesson M&P AR-15 on layaway.

Re: July Thread
When you get that M&P, you need to start an exclusive thread about that.
It looks like hardware is starting to become available, again.
Sportsman's Guide has free shipping, until Tuesday (Coupon Code SH1510). I also have a $10.00 Coupon from when I renewed my Buyer's Club Membership.
Their ammunition selection is pretty thin, but they do have PPU (PRVI/Hansen) Ammunition in 7.62x54 Russian, 7mm Mauser, and 8x56R Mannlicher in stock.
I think that I'll order some on my computer, so that the NSA has something to talk about.

Re: July Thread
Had a pretty good outpost meeting tonight. Our attendance was pretty light, but we had a good time. Our main DR commander was also out, so I covered both AR and DR tonight. Both my AR's and the DR's are in the middle of their respective skill merits so I decided to do an intro into the Tool Merit for those who've just moved up from RK's and/or those who are new to RR altogether. It worked out that the majority who were there tonight fit into that category.
We went over the safety rules and then showed them passing tools, walking with tools and using tools. Gave them the paperwork so they could study the parts of all the tools so they can take the written portions when their ready. Had a good time!
