I have no good answer for this. Apparently just typing too fast along with this phone filling in words it thinks I'm trying to use. I don't know...

It actually worked, though. George Brett was the big Royals bat in yesteryear.

Today is the 44th anniversary of my first date with my wife. Taking her out to a Japanese restaurant, and that reminds me of a story.

Back in the day, before the world became a dangerous place, I used to wander around in foreign ports until I got lost. Not to worry, though. All I had to do was walk downhill until I got back to the waterfront. Back to the story. I found a local eating establishment with a display of menu items in the window. One of them intrigued me.

I went inside and showed the waiter what I wanted. A cold plate of octopus, small tentacles with suction cups, was placed in front of me. It tasted marvelous and went quickly. Got the waiter's attention and indicated that I wanted a second helping. Through signs, I let him know I wanted the next dish warmed up. He understood, but his body language let me know he didn't agree. He remembered the English word and said "raw."

The second helping didn't taste nearly as good. pale

You hid your age pretty well here, until you started talking like that.

We planted new sod around the house about 4 weeks ago. I planted Soybeans and Rye Grass in the new dirt around the edges of the sod.

For the past two weeks, I have seen a deer browsing in the Soybeans/Rye Grass 'most every night. Tonight, there were two there.

I'm no fan of Halloween, and generally avoid it, but my wife is in charge of "Trunk or Treat" this year. Church members decorate the trunk of their car and pass out candy as an outreach to the neighborhood kids.

I'm going to put a back-packing tent in my truck bed and lay down inside it. I'm a....

...pickup camper.

How 'bout getting another friend the same age as you. You could sit on the tail-gate of your pickup and heckle the kids; posing as Statler and Waldorf from the Muppets Show.

I haven't seen much of anything that has gotten better "re-warmed up".

Statler, "I don't much care for puppets.  I don't find them believable".

Waldorf, "I don't believe you!"

Our Living Room looks over the Back Yard.

Walking out from it is our wooden deck, about 15x20 feet in size, and about 15 feet above the ground.

It has an electrical outlet with two receptacles................one for the Coffee Pot and one for the Electric Blanket.

From "Game and Fish Magazine", referring to the 2015 Whitetail Deer Population................

The opportunity for hunters to harvest multiple white-tailed deer is readily available throughout the Magnolia State. According to the Quality Deer Management Association’s Deer Density Map, Mississippi has more deer per square mile than any other state in the nation.

Most of the Magnolia State (especially the lower Delta, much of southwest Mississippi, the Black Prairie and several areas in northwest Mississippi) has a deer density greater than 45 deer per square mile.

Only southeast Mississippi, along with a few other pockets scattered across the state, fall into the deer density category of having less than 15 deer per square mile. Most of the state falls between 30 to 40 deer per square mile. However, the extremely high deer population of the state, estimated at close to 2 million animals, is both a curse and a blessing. While hunters favor the increased odds of seeing and scoring on more deer, severe overpopulation is of great concern to biologists and deer managers statewide.
