Re: September Thread
Just my personal opinion here, but I think Trump is the new Obama. After 8 yrs of Bush, so many people wanted "change" that they voted for the most opposite candidate they could vote for. I feel that trump is the same now. He's confident and unafraid of confrontation, but what does he REALLY stand for? He's flip flopped on several important issues within the past few years. Does he really stand for the constitution as it was intended, or is he just another narcissist with a different angle? Personally I think he's the latter... I think people are so sick of what we've currently got that they'll jump out of the proverbial frying pan into the fire in the name of something "different".

Re: September Thread
One thing I like is he is not owned by his donors he has his own $. I am more Cruz. Paul doesn't stand a chance. I definitely don't want Jeb Bush. I personally believe Obama was also elected by people that wanted to make history by electing a non wasp to put it politely. Was not elected on experience, skills, or the "content of his character".

Re: September Thread
I LIKE Trump, but I do not TRUST Trump.
What's to say that, four years from now, he won't be what he was, four years ago?
If I had my druthers, it would be Cruz, Fiorina, and Rubio in that order.

Re: September Thread
Cruz, Walker, Fiorina, Carson. That being said, Trump is the one who is most likely to get the nomination. If he picks one of them for VP, he's good to go in the general.
Anyone else notice that the Dems are running old white people...and the GOP has young and minority candidates?

Excuse my insensitivity, but every time that I see Hillary on the TV, I say, "I'll get you,
and your little dog, too."
(Sorry. Her voice inflection just kind-of reminds me of that line in the movie.)

VERY insensitive of you, Claymore. That actress is no longer around to defend herself. (Road trip comment #10: We went to the Oz Museum in Kansas. Small and quaint, but well done.)

Sorry, Bruce. You're right.
It's much like President Reagan said,
"I'd say that Congress is spending money like Drunken Sailors, but that would be an insult to Drunken Sailors. At least, they only spend their OWN money."

Nailed it!
Trump has changed Political parties 5 times! Republican, Democrat & Reform parties. 2000-2009 he was a Democrat & gave money to the Clinton foundation & made nice noises about Hillary.
He himself has said " my policies align more with those of the Democrat party" (paraphrased as I do not remember the exact wording any more)
To me, Trump is a guy who has done whatever, joined whatever & given to whomever that benefited him the most at that time.

I don't usually sign out either, but I'll close the tab when I leave. I wonder if that's the difference? I don't think my name stays up all the time, does it?

Nope. Closing the tab or getting off the internet causes your name to drop off.

Re: September Thread
Does anyone have a high resolution file for the RR logo? The national website says to email them to receive one for using on a banner, but we've been getting the run around from the National office. Almost like they don't quite know what's going on...
Anyway, we're trying to have a banner printed and need a high resolution file. Thanks.

A couple of years ago, I was trying to get similar digital stuff from national. Instead, I got warnings on copyright infringement.

But their own website says that you can email them to get a high resolution file for use on banners, etc. Don't understand the issue with them.

Re: September Thread
Kind-of reminds me of the scene in the movie Casablanca:
The Chief of Police comes in, blows his whistle and says, "Everyone out. This Cafe is closed, immediately. There is gambling going on here. I am shocked. Shocked."
While everyone is walking out of the cafe, a member of the staff gives a hand-full of money to the Chief of Police and says, "Your winnings, sir."
Chief of Police, "Oh, thank you. Thank you very much."

Yup!
(I don't know if they said this in the Canadian Armed Forces, but in the U.S. Army, there was a saying, "A soldier isn't happy if he isn't complaining".)

Re: September Thread
A shame to see Gov. Walker drop out. His inadequate campaign staff couldn't figure out how to get his message out there, hence his sub 1% support.
Trump, Carson, and Fiorina have no problems there.
