September Thread
How is everyone doing these days?
Mighty hot here in Michigan today. Was out mowing the church yard this morning, but plan on hibernating indoors for the rest of the day.

Right there with you, Chris.
Having lived in Wisconsin, and now Mississippi, I've learned that you remain sheltered at opposite times of the year.
In Wisconsin, you shelter from the cold in January & February.
In Mississippi, you shelter from the heat in July & August.
(Only down here, you won't die in 10 minutes, if no one finds you, when you fall on the sidewalk.)

Re: September Thread
Back from a 4000 mile road trip. Very enjoyable being with new "kinfolk" in fly-over country. On one Sunday I went to an AG church, whose pastor was very up-to-date on what's going on around the world, and who preached a great message. He's been the pastor there for 37 years and is now 80 and still going strong. Talking to him afterwards, he said he's been studying prophecy for 50 years and is convinced that we're the Rapture generation.
I sure hope so. I sure pray so.

Re: September Thread
If more people registered, they could post their own "bragging" news, like...
In 3 quarters, my freshman grandson ran 5 times for 58 yards and 1 TD, returned a kick for 35 yards, made 8 tackles, recovered a fumble, returned an interception 20 yards, and had 2 other running TDs called back on penalties.
Last week, my senior grandson ran on the first 3 plays, getting 30 yards. And then he broke his arm. Season's over for him. I hear he's been eating and sleeping on the sofa since then. Time to go over and motivate him.

Freshman grandson: 9 tackles, 7 rushes for 45 yards and a TD, recovered a fumble, 1 reception for 11 yds
Senior grandson: letter from Yale. Wherever he goes, I'll need to encourage him to do his homework on hidden details, like wokeness and free speech.

Re: September Thread
Good job to both.
(are you SURE that they are Navy brat descendants? Gotta be a Dogface or a Jarhead in there, somewhere.)

Re: September Thread
Last month, Claymore gave me a few ideas to incorporate into my "detective's briefing room." And so far, the kids seem to be enjoying our apologetics course - Case Maker's Academy. With the use of videos and a book, a retired cold case detective is teaching kids how to think and make evidence-based decisions on the things that really matter.
