So Chris are you trying to shake it up a bit up?

Perhaps the new paradyne shift is causing earth quakes too.

May 2015 Greetings Empty Re: May 2015 Greetings

Post by Phillip Gross May 19th 2015, 11:00 pm

Been super busy lately, so I haven't been foruming much. Spring season baseball has come to an end for me and Seth (I was assistant coaching), and we came out the champions! It was a fun season to see the team come together from losing the first three in a row because of errors to taking the championship. On top of that, Seth ended up making the All-Star team for this summer. He's super stoked about that! He'll remain an out fielder for All-Stars, but is starting to train on the mound. The head coach has started giving him some one on one pitching lessons outside of normal practice. Seth is tall and lanky and will probably do well on the mound eventually.

Phillip Jr is developing on the new race bike this season, but it was a bit of a slow start. Going from a bike that will do 60-65 on the straights to a bike that will do 90-100 took a bit of getting used to. Looking back, the biggest problem was that he was trying to acclimate to a new bike AND win races, which didn't turn out very well. I told him not to worry about race results and just focus on the bike, but I think his internal pressure got the better of him and would do horrible, neither learning the bike, nor winning a race! So, I decided that we would skip an event and go to a race school in Florida instead. It was just what the Dr ordered for him. In a no pressure environment, he flourished and got the bugs worked out. Now he's looking forward to the next race event to see how he can do now that he feels comfortable on the bike.

Rangers is winding down for us before COA and summer break. I have mixed emotions about the summer break because we did lose some kids last year, but who knows if they'd have quit regardless... It is nice to have some time off though because our schedule (my family's) is jam packed all the time! We're planning a couple events for this summer just to keep everyone connected though, so hopefully we can retain momentum by dividing up the break with some get togethers. The one I'm really looking forward to is the backpacking trip in July up to Ellicott Rock Wilderness area again. Last time we went it was still fairly chilly so the boys couldn't swim in the river (although a couple managed to slip off the rocks anyway...), so we're all looking forward to that cool mountain river after packing in.

Other than that stuff, it's just a bunch of work work work....

Pray I survive the influx of leftist progressives that are flooding my little city to hear the FLOTUS Michelle Obama give the Oberlin College commencement speech.

Right now, I can hobble around for an hour, then prop my knee up and ice it for an hour.

Stitches should come out later this week, and I should be able to do pretty-much non-strenuous function for a couple of weeks.

(That's what happens when the warranty on God's Vehicle runs out, and you need to get an overhaul.)

Thats for sure. When we get older we just quote really cool authors that young people probably never heard of or will appreciate till they are our age.

I've been having some muscular pain in my hands. The other day it went down into my arm to my elbow. Not fun.
