The interior of our church basement and office basement suffered from what I called the "Wal-Mart" look. For years, people would buy this and that, to the point where not a single cabinet (for filing or supplies) matched. Then there was the horrible paint job, done multiple times in different areas, never an exact color match. I got the board to fund an extreme makeover, which my wife and I did for a whole summer. End result? No more embarrassment, and people started to take care of it.

Just got back from a long weekend in the sun, watching my granddaughter - the soccer goalie - help her U12 team to the state championship. She's short, but a fearless tiger in front of the net. For the last game, her Mom painted her face Braveheart-style. June Greetings 2014 - Page 3 2457296073  I might have to get some new suspenders. They've lost their elasticity from me snapping them too much.

Yesterday morning at church. A fellow came down the isle shaking everyones hand and super positive and on fire and after he shook my hand I thought there is the speaker for today.

The speaker had a Convoy of Hope shirt on. He is a full time AG Convoy of Hope Missionary.

Introduced his wife who is also a AG certified Minister. She is also a certified pschyco counciler and put in her speal that she was there to help anyone that needed counciling for depression, anxiety and a list of other things. .... Our church believes the Holy Spirit is the real councior. Anyway we ignored that and was on to the speaker.

This guy was a Doug Marsh clone. "Do something even if it isn't right, you can go back and fix it later" "Change the Culture", His sermon was interesting and full of neat stories of success and failures. I didn't hear anything of being lead by the Spirit or waiting on the Holy Spirit as Christ instructed us. It was all man maniupulation what could "I" do to make the difference.

Psycho bable teaches that man is basicly good we just need to get inside and find that inner man and help him.

Bible teaches man is a sinner and has a nature that will contiue in sin unless it is covered by the Blood of Christ and by faith we are made ritcheous before God.

When I see somone that tries to mix both of these to achieve a better man .. either you believe in one or the other...there is no mixing them there foundations are to far apart.

It's little wonder why our denomiation is so sick. There foundation is waffling between the Rock and psychobable.
"Remember just do something, even if it isn't right" Dude that ain't scripture..that's man's innner man speaking out.

Nothing like a used car salesman coming out and shaking your hand and acting like a long lost friend that is so glad to see you. Pomp and circumstance. What a way to go. WRONG! I want the real power and gumtion of the Holy Spirit active in our lives our church and in our nation. Then we see real change.

Not so long ago, someone posted that Rangers received a lot of top-down direction from on high. If so, are we likely to see man-inspired babble in other AG areas? A scary thought, indeed.

What was he referring to doing even if wrong? Stay prayed up and rely on the Spirit of God. We only make mistakes when we rely on self.

To me psychology attempts to do what medical science does. Can medical doctors really cure you of the curse of death? No! Same with doctors of the mind. Point being the cure for both mind and body ulimately is Jesus. If we rely totally on God means we total abstain from counselors then why don't we prohibit physicians?

"America" opens in theatres this week. In my town, it's a one-night stand. Grrr! But I'll get there for sure. I think you'd all love it.
