Re: Culture Rot
Obama has selected the first openly gay bishop to deliver the "keynote" prayer at the White House Easter prayer event. It's not enough for him to stick homosexuality into Bible-believers' eyes. Now he wants to stick it in God's eye. I would NOT buy a ticket to watch His judgment at Obama's appointed time. One more prayer going his way. Maybe a waste of time, but a Christian's duty.

My prayer is to replace him with a good leader in 2016.

Re: Culture Rot
I'm sure most of us have read books printed by Christian publishing company Multnomah. Who knew that they have a subsidiary that prints liberal books? Where there's a buck, there's a will. Coming to a store near you is their pro-homosexual book that uses the Bible to try and make their case. Isn't there a verse that talks about following God or mammon?

Re: Culture Rot
They already try. The homosexuals love to try and paint Jonathan and David as such. Because two men can't possibly be just friends.

Re: Culture Rot
It had to be Adam who sinned or otherwise no one would inherit a sinful nature. I read the story of the fall and see while Eve was deceived Adam was not. Though Eve sinned first she did so while believing a lie. Adam sinned in full knowledge of the truth. When he sinned their eyes were opened the second he fell. Eve's spiritual nature was inherited from Adam from which she was taken. Ever since then All the children of Adam have inherited man's sinful nature. Only exception is Jesus because he was a new 2nd Adam whose father is Jehovah. Since he was born of God the father he had a perfect nature as Adam once did and was fully human in the flesh because of Mary. Since he was God made flesh it was impossible for him to sin because sin is against God's nature and capability to sin doesn't exist. This is why the JW's teaching of Jesus being the archangel Michael is false because it is possible for Angels to sin (Lucifer and 1/3 fell). God left nothing chance by sending His son who divine he was assured victory of death, hell, and the grave.
Gay supporters try to use the beloved disciple, disciple rest his head on Jesus best, and even try use what Jesus said about Eunuchs to mean homosexuals. Jesus fullfilled the law not destroyed it. OT law forbade homosexuality and is reaffirmed in Romans ch 1.

Re: Culture Rot
Culture rot can lead to church rot...
So there's this big Protestant church in town that's always running ads on the radio. Good for them. But in a decade here, I've never heard one of their ads mention Jesus. It's always about this benevolent God somewhere out there that wants to make you happy. Never liked their content. So I heard their latest ad today, with the usual soothing "God" voice that says, "It's only a small step from believing in wishing wells to believing in me."
Sigh. Argh. Grrr!

Re: Culture Rot
The Locals, here in Mississippi, have a Verbal Tradition. You can say almost anything critical of someone, if you end it with, "Bless their heart".
Example:
"They're just a bunch of misguided, shallow Christians delivering a Whipped-Cream Message......Bless their Hearts."

Re: Culture Rot
I have followed Dr. Ben Carson for awhile, and felt that he could end up being a paradigm-shifting politician. He has a column today that sorely disappointed me.
He was trying to justify his recent endorsement of a Republican pro-abortion candidate. Summary: "There's a difference between principles and pragmatism. In order to win, we will need to prioritize our issues." Or to paraphrase, it's necessary to compromise a core principle. Winning is everything. Yep, give a guy long enough, and he ends up vetting himself.

Re: Culture Rot
Its unfortunately we'll find no perfect candidate for president. Even Rand Paul and Ted Cruz pulled support for the Bundy issue because he compared slavery to the welfare system.
Carson has made comments that show he might falter the second amendment regarding semi automatics.

Re: Culture Rot
I pulled my support for the Bundy situation after hearing the interview he did with Glenn Beck. He was saying that God told him to destroy government property and his tractor kept breaking down on the way to do it, so he told others to go do it... He sounded a little unhinged to me.RRCmdrBennett wrote:Its unfortunately we'll find no perfect candidate for president. That's unfortunate, because I think the gov is dead wrong in trying to push him off the public land. That's why it's so important to live above reproach. We will face difficult situations and our adversaries will exploit any craziness that's hidden. GB has urged on many occasions to repent, live a holy life and get rid of any hidden things in life because they'll use anything they can against us.

Did "honest Abe" say that before or after his presidential debates of the late 1850's where he stated that the white race should remain in the position of superiority?

Re: Culture Rot
Here's an article of many that shows history has "white-washed" the "Great Emancipator" of the Negros.
http://www.theroot.com/articles/history/2009/02/was_lincoln_a_racist.html
Was he just a power hungry centralist who would as any politician say and do whatever it took to gain power? Even shifting a complete 180 degrees in political philosophies? Was he using the abolitionist movement and Negros of his day to consolidate the power of the federal government? He used a very hot political issue of his day to get people to fight for another more sinister reason: squashing State's rights.
He really wasn't so honest afterall.

Yep, Lincoln and his centralist were a stepping stone to the modern day Obama. Maybe they are right to compare BHO to Lincoln?
