That was it she just smiled and went downstairs. Hey she gets an Ipad from her babysitting $ and I get an AR! Sounds fair to me

Now here is the secret:
You can now get all of the AR-15's that you want.
Get a Heavy-Barrel. Get a 9mm Carbine. Get a 6.8 SPC.
Just NEVER let her see more than one gun at any one time.

Re: September Thread
Went outside this morning and was pleasantly surprised with a slight chill in the air! Time to do some camping, because I really hate sweating as I lay there trying to sleep...
Cut the grass, trimmed all the edges with the weed eater, trimmed the hedges, and blew everything off with the blower. Our little Walmart pool is almost drained after two days so we can clean it up and put it away for the winter.
Now it's time to get cleaned up and go to the birthday party of one of our Cmdr's daughter. Busy good day!

Re: September Thread
I went to Canuckistan one time for a missions trip in my teens. I noticed that people got more and more rude as we drove north until we crossed the border. Then it was like being back in the South, except with funny accents. Our first stop as we crossed the border was a little town called St. Catherines that will forever hold warm memories for me.... That whole trip was pretty good. I got my first piercing in the Toronto mall, but I don't wear that stuff anymore. Amazing how getting married makes you take all the metal out of your head.

Re: September Thread
We’re currently working on the basement. The ceiling fan/lights had been hung from the floor joists. Now we’ve put in a drop ceiling & moved the fans.
The electrician had a problem getting cover bolts into a ceiling fan. He worked on it for about 7 or 8 minutes then walked away. I said that I would try to get the bolts in.
About 15 minutes later, I informed him that I got the bolts in, but I had to use a technique that I learned from an old German, when I worked construction in Milwaukee. I said that you had to use “Monkey Mitt.”
The electrician asked what that was.
I said, “You got to monkey-mitt that bolt, ‘till it goes through da hole”.

The Native American Indians had a saying about European-Americans:
"Indians build a small fire and stand close; White Man builds a large fire and stand far away."

Re: September Thread
In a few hours I'll be heading out to local church we did our shooting camp earlier this year to put a "few" rounds through my AR-15 and 9mm. Ben's heading over after work to shoot his new .22LR. My father inlaw will be doing some test shots of some heavy loads for his .410 pump.

We all had a great time shooting some .22, 5.56mm, and 9mm. Ben was so excited he instagrammed a picture of himself holding my AR saying he got to shoot this badboy. He's funny sometimes.

Re: September Thread
Hey. I got to shoot 5 rounds of black powder and helped 5 of my boys shoot at targets. I cleaned it in the field with patches and oil and windshield deicer. Then oiled it down good.
When I get home I have to do a home cleaning of the gun. I don't know that I have ever done that..so it should be interesting. It had sat in my closet for 10 years. It was fun shooting. I bought 100 bucks worth of goods to make it go for a few years.
I looked all around for my shooters box. No where to be found. So that 100 bucks went out to get the basics of black powder supplies. I need a few more things.

Black powder is fun. Even more fun when showing kids how it used to be done. I enjoyed it immensely when Erin and Andy kept wanting to shoot my inline muzzleloader.
