Re: August Thread
I don't know if I would laugh or be ragin' under the collar.
The county fair starts tomorrow that will be fun. Sometime this week Ben's brother Jon-Paul and I are going to go gun shopping for him to get a 9mm XDm like mine. I tell ya I oughta own stock or get commission for people buying Springfield Armory because they like my gun.

Re: August Thread
In Ozark, Alabama for the weekend. I feel like a recovering alcoholic who just walked back into a bar...
We haven't raced in almost two years because of the economy and wanting to "prep" for what may come. I've stayed away from the track and everything racing because it was just too much for me. I of course had my track buddies calling sporadically trying to pull me back in, but I've stayed strong... until now. A buddy called and said he had a ride for Phillip Jr this weekend if we'd just get there... so here we are! We're (Phillip Jr) racing at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway.
I'll try to post some pics when I can.

Re: August Thread
You may need to consult your accountability group for assistance with your racing addiction. I also recommend avoiding any ranger derbies as they may lure you back into a cycle of co-dependency...

I would, except my main accountability partner (my wife) is the one who encouraged me to accept the offer. I was strong in the beginning, but crumbled in the end.
On a side note, I thought most all of Alabama was flat land, but even here in the upper-middle part of the state there are low mountains all around. It's actually very nice looking land.

Couldn't get any good pics of him on track because I forgot my good camera and only have my cellphone. :( But here's Jr coming in after his race this afternoon. He came in last, but that's OK as he's been out of it for two years. He's having a blast just the same!

Re: August Thread
We just had a little cool front move in. I walked outside this morning to leave for work and decided to put on a long sleeved shirt.
This Friday night coming will be our first American Heritage Girls meeting! We'll be having it at the same time as our RR meetings, so it'll be interesting to work through the logistics of it all. Our facility is very small, so we'll have to keep to a tight schedule and trade in and out of the classroom areas.
I guess having more ministry going on than the facility to do it in is a better problem than the reverse!

Many churches WISH that they had that problem!!!Phillip Gross wrote:I guess having more ministry going on than the facility to do it in is a better problem than the reverse!
Good luck with the AHG. I think that it can really be a good opportunity for the boys in Rangers to develop their instructor skills by passing on things that they learned in R/R.
Our girls' classes are more traditional, but we try to "host" a meeting a few times a year, where they get to share in some moderate adventure training (but not the pugil sticks).

Yes, very humid when outside the coolers. The Admiral (regional VP) reportely stopped by for a visit but I never saw him. Not sad by that though. I had a lot of garbage to straighten up in the dairy. Never even got to tending the freezers.

But it hasn't STOPPED you from Complaining about it!
Since Philip is complaining in an area not designated for such uncivilized behavior can I call a on him?

Well then for the sake of everything good and decent, y'all may want to let me back into the badlands. I thought it was going to be a "request to remove" instead of a "request to get in". It's gonna be so hard for people to complain now....

Re: August Thread
Christi. I have a question. When you and Chris get into it. Does he go around hiding things from you too?
I was just thinking along the same lines as Dan. If we could get into Chris's, Dan's, Mine innerselves thinking (if that is possible) we might be able to figure out what the newest Ranger 4.0 program will be.
I am not saying that Chris has a hangup with hiding threads but if we look at history he is a habitual thread hider. GRIN!
T'hanks for making me laugh you all. Good stuff and we need some kidding around this old world.
