Maybe you don't know about Hoth cause its from one of those movies from the '80s you don't like.

Seen it. Actually love the original three movies. Episode one was terrible IMO. Two and three were ok... Episode 7 was pretty good. I thought they tried too hard to make Rogue One funny. There were cheesy lines throughout that you could tell were supposed to be funny, but fell flat. Of course that could be because I wasn't in a mood to watch it anyway. Seth wanted to see it for his birthday so I took the boys, but I'm so focused on the new store project that I have a hard time shifting my mind away from it to sit there and watch a movie. If that makes sense...

But back to the Hoth side, I don't remember that reference.

Maybe with a clearer mind you'll enjoy it more. I have similar feelings on each of the movies. Best part of ep #1 was the saber duel. Two and three got better. Rogue One I felt was better than the recent ep #7. The final scene with Vader was pretty cool and the CGI Tarken and Leia were done well. Rogue One explains a few plot holes in the original SW Ep #4 A New Hope like why is there a huge weakness seamingly built into the deathstar, why troopers are poor aims when our main characters are being shot at, and why retrieving a copy of the deathstar's schematics were needed.

Hoth side is not a direct quote its the name of the planet the rebels fled to after Yavin 4. Whenever its like snow and freezing its a little on the Hoth side.

Yes, Chris our young apprentice has much to learn like there are at least two '80s movies he likes lol!

Buy the best you can and only cry once.

A couple months ago I went and bought a laser level that spins around with a tripod and such, and you can orient it to measure either level, or plumb. Instead of buying the Bosch that is self-leveling, I went with the much cheaper brand (don't even recall what it is) that has two dials on the axes and bubble levels. BIG MISTAKE. What a piece of guano!!

Nothing is quite level or plumb after 100 +/- years at the new store and I was trying to lay out a soffit for recessed lighting on one of the walls. I fiddled and fiddled with the piece of guano until I started speaking like an unsaved heathen. So I drove down to the Home Depot and bought the Bosch that I should have in the first place! Had the soffit framed up in no time and TRUE.

Moral of the story is while it's great to be frugal, tools aren't the place to do it. Buy the best and only cry (or cuss) once. Wink

Despite the apparent efforts of Florida's fast-talking senator, news is starting to leak out about the "psycho" ex-Army Hispanic who shot up the airport terminal. Looks like he converted to Islam years before joining the service. There's even a picture of him giving an ISIS salute. Bad optics for the outgoing -resident. Stay tuned for more non-fake news.

Well, let's see. A couple of weeks ago, Obama gave himself the highest federal worker medal. And today he gave Biden the Presidential Medal of Freedom. I'll bet Uncle Joe himself would be hard-pressed to name anything he'd done to earn it.

Yes, but if I make myself "Ranger of the Quarter" for each 3 months of the year, I get more medals!

and

My medals will mean almost as much as Obama's.

So, I mentioned in another thread that I had set up a Church Security Seminar.

At Christmas time, my wife asked me if I wanted another gun for Christmas (is the Pope from South America?).

So I now have a Smith & Wesson 9mm Shield with a concealment holster.

Also, with the new year, the wife and I decided to lose some weight and get back into shape. A couple of nights ago, I mentioned that I have lost 4 pounds. I said, "You know that gun that I got for Christmas? I could now carry TWO of those, and weigh the same as I did before the New Year.

She said, "But you only have ONE of those guns".

I said, "No, you don't understand. I lost FOUR pounds.........".

Hey were having a FCF winter lockin this Friday night. Any of you guys got any experience with a Tinder Tube? (Use caution when searching for it on the web)

I have a method of a sure fire every time with 3 strands. Amazingly good and it's old technology.

Old Technology?

You were a Petty Officer Third Class when they refitted your ship from Sails to Steam Boilers!

I've been wanting a shield or xds for awhile. Helped a friend make decision for ccw pistol. He got the shield for $319. Do you carry the shield instead of the Keltec? Does your shield have the manual safety.
