Overall, 2020 felt like a year that should be shaken off. Unfortunately, the next 4 years aren't going to be any better. Fortunately, God's in control and His plan is unfolding with specific purpose. I don't need to see every part of it. Actually, I don't want to see every part of it. Too much for this finite brain to handle. Whatever our parts in the plan are, Lord, help us to be obedient to your prompting. If I can do that, then I'll have a Happy New Year.

Someone at church knows someone who sits on an education advisory board. To show you how bad the school district's reaction to the pandemic has been, they've broached the unthinkable. "Should we add a year to high school to make up for what the kids have lost?"
That they could even bring that up as a potential solution shows how badly they've managed things in the past year. If they come even close to mandating this, the liberal parents will riot and burn down the district office. The conservative parents will man the fire hoses...and move in very slowly.
