January 2023 Thread
Well, good riddance to 2022. Unfortunately, 2023 will likely be worse. AND I threw up 6 times last night. No, I don't drink. Wife will need to cover the kids' class on her own.

On my feet and pulling on the bitts to go church in 1 hour and 26 minutes. But who's counting?
I have really been enjoying the delay in selecting a new Speaker of the House. I applaud the 20 principled representatives who are tired of the non-working status quo. It's make-or-break time.

I'm just concerned that it may give the leftists on the other side an opportunity for a coup.
Don't allow the "Perfect" to be the enemy of the "Good".

I hear you, but I think there's only one way for that to happen...McCarthy would have to go to the other side of the aisle, with hat (and give-aways) in hand, to beg for enough votes to put him over the top. And if that happens, we will have just discovered that the deep state is deeper and bigger than we thought.
The do-nothing political world is moldy, to the point of being putrid. Time for some sunlight and antiseptic.

I am dealing with an infection in my jaw. Had a tooth abcessed. The tooth has been pulled, bu the infection just wont give it up. On round 4 of antibiotics. Doctor has ordered a CT scan of my jaw. He is concerned that the infection may have moved into the bone.
Prayers appreciated

Re: January 2023 Thread
What to do when domestic vacation options have doubled and more in price, and even if you have the money, you can't go to most of the world without a jab? I sure wasn't planning on spending all my retirement years within a couple hours of my house.
Get out the old virtual reality goggles and "go" for free! The wife and I will start with Jerusalem tomorrow, and then I'll take her everywhere I went in my Navy career, before we tackle the rest of the world. Hmm. We could also play appropriate music from YouTube, and maybe make some meals that fit the location.
Where would you go?

Are you talking about a "Viewmaster"? I've got one of them from my grandparents, downstairs.

For the first time in my nearly 10 years on RChat, I had my wife read a post...she laughed out loud.
