Thanks. We had two boys in our outpost who had started Discovery Rangers before the changeover to numbered merits, and they wanted to finish it out that way. I had almost enough... had to get 4 patches from a friend at another outpost, but it worked out. They will both be ready for their Gold Eagle's in a few weeks.

I personally like the "named" Bible Merits over the "numbered" ones, but I must admit that, when it is time to get ready for the Awards Ceremony, it's easier to just count up their completion of Bible Lessons than it is to chase them down and make-up for missed classes.

Hey I give you props for thinking around and figuring a way to make it work for your boys. We need more Cmdrs to do that

I had similar issue when putting together an awards vest for a GMA ceremony. The boy completed everything under old bible system by dec 2012. I had most of them but was missing a decent #. I was able to get them all.

I prefer them named also.

I knew Claymore would notice those wings.
