Junior Leadership Training.
Hi everyone, im the new District Training Coordinator for the newly formed West Texas & Plains District and I needed to confirm somthing about junior leadership training. Are the new red & gold leadership merits suppose to replace DTC & ATC? How about JTC and up is there somthing new for those? I would also like any helpful info on being an effective training coordinator. Thank everyone for the help.

Re: Junior Leadership Training.
These red, gold, and sky blue leadership merits are part of the new advancement structure for outpost groups. They are conducted on the outpost only level. Districts still oversee DTC, ATC, and JLTA programs.

I hadn't heard there was a new District. Did they split up STX & NTX?

Re: Junior Leadership Training.
I'd recommend contacting your Gulf regional Training Coord. He would be able to help you.

Re: Junior Leadership Training.
Gulf region staff have some wonderful helpful guys to help out. Rick Barnhouse is our Training Coordinator.
We are just developing our leadership camps and adding adults in the mix. I help out with the older camps JTT -BAC and JCE - can't remember the name of it the new one..got patches..gRIN! I wished these guys would learn there is value in not changing the names every few years. We have so many changes we can't keep it all straight anymore.
