I am uploading a video to youtube on this backpack and day hike. It's the software I use to check out maps.  Delorme Topo USA and it uploads and downloads from my hand held PN 60 gps device.  Works slick and pretty easy to use.

Wow. I have about 27 going tommarow on the Over night Backpack and day hike to Pedistal Rocks.

A mixed group. 3 ladies. One 17, one 60, one 33.
3 AR Boys from my group.
8 ER Boys from my group and 2 other churches.
5 of my son's friends 15 to 20.
3 20 to 22 year olds
5 men over 48

What a variety for sure. Weather forecast is perfect. Low of 39 and high of 63 sunny no wind.

I am all packed. GPS is loaded. Camera loaded. ... Food is in the frige in a bag ready to go... hiking clothes stashed for a quick shower when I get home from work.

It's all coming to gether.... ARRRRGH! I forgot to delegate the council fire and devotion services.

Ok.. thanks for letting me think out loud! GRIN!


We leave tommarrow night at 5:45 pm from my house. What a blessing!

This is 100 miles due south of my house. In and around Springfield it's not nearly this wild. Mainly rollng hills. It starts getting wild down south by Branson and then into Arkanas with the Boston mountains.. tops out about 2300 feet. With sea level being around 900 feet in our area it still gives us plenty of UP!
