Eye of the Needle Top Down 2 night backpack

Praise the Lord. It's Backpacking season again. Cooler temps bring great times.

We are heading down to the Buffalo River, Kyles Landing trail head and backpacking in a mile or so. Making base camp and then on saturday we will day hike back out to the vehicles drive up to the top of the mountain 2200 feet elevation and then day hike back down to 800 feet most of that in less than a mile and a half. It's wild and it's great adventure and what sights to behold. Then back to base camp. Total trip is about 8 miles. 6 of that will be on Saturday during the day hike.

Right now we are up to about 13 pretty solid with 3 more maybe going. You guys should drive on over and go with us. Anytime your welcome to come along. I have had Ranger Leaders come in 11 hours for a over night backpack before. It's really cool stuff.

Don't think I haven't thought about driving out to join in, but so far I've always had too much going on to ever do it. Maybe one day though! I'll give you a call when I'm coming on out.
