Fighting Fire With Fire
More and more, Christianity in America is being attacked, aided and abetted by the mainstream media and Washington, DC. In recent years, a former president called the US Constitution "a list of negative liberties," proclaimed our right to "freedom of worship," but not freedom of religion, and that we are "clinging bitterly to their God." In recent weeks, the current president has desecrated the Catholic sign of the cross, and said that those who attempt to curb transgender surgery on children are being "close to sinful."
In our last big war, many men refused to fight. Some of them fled to Canada, others went through the conscientious objector process, and a few went to jail. Those years created a big divide in this country, which is growing and will never heal. Godless Marxism invaded our college campuses, producing acolytes who slowly moved into our institutions and took them over.
So, here we are. The acolytes have turned their mission over to an even more extreme generation. Originally, it was a covert plan to fundamentally transform America. But that was too slow and too mundane for a generation that needs an ever increasing rush of adrenaline to convince themselves that they are alive and relevant. They have gone from Occupy Wall Street to the George Floyd riots, and from forced church shutdowns to antisemitism-inspired shutdowns of our infrastructure. Our authorities took a permissive stance, allowing more and more of such activity to become permissible, telling law and order to stand down during critical times.
First they came for the unborn, and I did not speak out - because I was not unborn.
Then they came for the election deniers, and I did not speak out - because I was not an election denier.
Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak for me.
What are our options? Can we run off to Canada? No, their Christians are being persecuted more than we are in America. Can we apply for conscientious objector status? No. Increasingly, students and parents are not being allowed to opt out of inappropriate curriculum. Increasingly, workers are told to toe the CRT/DEI line, or take a hike. But jail is definitely an option. This month, multiple pro-life warriors received prison sentences of up to 5 years - for praying in a hallway.
Brothers, persecution is coming. Right now, it's relatively "soft," consisting of socialist-shaming, law-fare and boycotts. It will get worse...and the courts won't save us. Our First Amendment rights are more narrowly defined as time goes on, being overwhelmed by the culture's degenerate desires.
We can't fight this alone. Our current president has often said that he has F-14s to counter our pitchforks. The Church is weak and compromised, with large segments having already gone over to the enemy. So, what do we have?
Only the fire of the Holy Spirit. He is much, much more than just a Comforter. Christians have stood up for their faith for nearly 2000 years. Can we do less? As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

The Lord is my rock,my fortress and my deliverer.
He is our only hope.
He is our only hope.
