FCF Fall Trace and Buckskin and Fall Trek
It's been a while since I posted some event reports.
So. Missouri Daniel Boone Chapter FCF Fall Trace with Buckskin Testing! WE had a great time!

FCF Fall Trek is this weekend. Yup backpacking Daniel Boone Style. No modern tents or sleeping bags. Folks just canvas and wool blankets. Only exception we made was we can wear modern footwear that looks like a moc.
We did this last year and it got down to 32 degrees. This year the forecast is a tad different warmer with a chance of rain. Either way.... we will experience "Living the Adventure".
So many folk just talk about this stuff. Few do it. Lord just reminded me. Few except Him as Lord and Savior. We fight our self. Our flesh. Our comforts Our desire to not be cold wet and uncomfortable. YET EVEN last year when the 9 of us faced leaving the comforts of home behind we GREW! WE found we can get along with out a lot. WE found that the comforts at home are a blessing that we appreciated very much when we got home. YET TO DENIY SELF.... I have found few will actually do it. Folk...GROW! STRETCH! LIVE THE ADVENTURE! Tell the devil with his excuses he is a looser and Jesus already WON! Go and take those boys and girls places that inspire the journey!
Last weekend one of the local outposts 5 hours away from Springfield hosted a paint ball tourney. Those guys were "Living the Adventure" The boys and young men will remember these days.
Blessings! No matter what it takes go the distance! Our young folk are worth it.

I suspect the boys will remember the lessons learned from these outdoor adventures far longer than the ones in the RR classroom.

Re: FCF Fall Trace and Buckskin and Fall Trek
They do. Yet the indoor classroom time is good for preparing them for going outside! I feel very strongly that a 23 hour over night event weighs in at about the equal to 15 1.5 hour meetings. So much good quality time in a 23 hour event. YET if we did one over night event each month it would multiply our ministry time by so much. 1.5 hours x 52 minus holidays = about 45 hours per year. 2 campouts = 44 hours. So 276 hours of ministry versus just the 45 hours. Put them both together and we see lives changed for the good through a great program that is designed to build character and point those boys and girls and men and women to Jesus Christ and His Church. So in all this I am saying take those folk outside and go and do and live the adventure God has called you to lead them to. Make it safe. Make it fun. Make it successful and all the while point those folk to Jesus Christ and His Church. Win Win Win! HoooooRah!
