Hate to hear the weather didn't work out for the full race. Are you going to attempt another wheel boat with the improvements you mention?

Oh yea. It's going to happen this year God willing. I will get a early start on it. I am going to make a box press to make uniform square ended boxes. Kind of like a metal brake.

After about 4 hours of solid hard rain... I was surprised it did as well as it did.
Will paint each box before assembly with Killtz sealer. Going to buy it by the 5 gallon buckets. GRIN! If I had put one of the 19 year olds in there. He would have had that thing flying across the lake before it started flying apart from being soggy.

I looked at a metal brake to make the boxes neater. Harbor freight has them for cheap. I may get one just to have it handy.

Added a bunch more pictures this morning to the link. Been working some 12 to 16 hour days for the past 4 weeks. Just a few of them wipe me out each week. Money is buying lots of clamps and RR stuff. GRIN! A Catch 22.

Our RR Outpost took the month of August off. It will kill our program for about 3 months as we have told them as it always does. Will give me some time to drop over at our Ranger Building and get things in better shape. I have 3' door being made into a 6' door remodel going on right now over there. For the better!

Going back to the wheel in the sky some think it's referring to Ezekiel's vision of wheels within a wheel. The ancients believes celestial luminaries were on a wheel or circuit over an enclosed earth.

I read the verses in Ezek and found one verse that I could use for the next boat but that stupid song just keeps going ROUND and ROUND... Ha!

Been thinking of a 4 way brake that would bend the boxes that float the wheel. I need to make those bomb proof and paint them with kiltz on all surfaces to make this thing a go. It will be expensive... 100 bucks in paint. Yet it's a challenge and it captures the boys imaginations and it's easy enough to do we just have to work at it before hand more.

Which verse?

Dano. Can't remember it. Just do a search in Ezek for wheel and it's one of those 15 versus. Next year I will did deeper into it and give it a theme.
