If I boy joins in first grade, is there a way he can earn the Kindgarten trail to Elk, if he does the work?

Great! My son is a perfectionist and responds well to positive reinforcement. I suspect he would want to earn everything and be proud when he earns his badges.

Somebody else may want to chime in here, but if you guys have aspirations of earning everything possible then you may want to consider the outpost that runs year round. Seems like that may give him a better opportunity to achieve everything.
Just a thought....

Oh, I am sure he won't earn everything. ;-). But he'd sure want to try. And if trying keeps his mind off video games, I'm happy.

Howdy!
Not sure how all outposts run, but in ours we encourage parents, especially fathers to help complete merits at home also. So, you could help your son earn some stuff together.
