Promo Materials
Anyone seen this Promo Brochure yet? I've seen the Rangers 2.0 square one, but it wasn't that great. I don't remember seeing this one before. I've had requests for promo literature that people can give out to people when they talk to them about our outpost that people can look at.

Re: Promo Materials
Wher is the power tools, ipads, musical instruments, and team sports equipment??? All I see is old fashioned outdated outdoorsy related equipment.

Yeah it's kind of exciting, isn't it? Is that new material? I may need to order some to check it out.

Re: Promo Materials
I have used this one since june to get the word out around the church. I would recommend it. I haven't seen the RR2.0 square so I can't really compare it.
Inside are pictures of 3 boys. One on a Kayak, one With a Guitar and the other with a Camera. That back is a boy swinging a golf club.

Re: Promo Materials
The best promo is an active outpost that goes places. Put a reward out for bring new friends to meetings or events we used Ranger Bucks to do this and the Quarterly point sheet had bring new friend like 20 ranger bucks compared to 1 or 2 points for the other stuff on the sheet.
We handed out over 500 brocures during a Christmas parade and only got one inquiry. It didn't pan out very much. Friend inviting a friend makes it grow.

Re: Promo Materials
We're not wanting to do mass handouts like at the parade, but rather something that boys and adults can give to their friends, coworkers, etc. when they're talking to them about it. Not looking for a piece of paper to do the work, but rather information that they can look over after the conversation.
We cranked up the outpost originally by me sending my boys to school with business cards. They only had the Ranger emblem, my name and number on the front, with a simple map printed on the back with the location starred. We doubled the number of boys that we started with (from the number of boys who already attended the church) just from them talking to their friends and giving out a business card.
Now I've got parents of Rangers who want something to give out when they talk to people. There seems to be a renewed excitement for the ministry this year like we haven't seen since we started. I'm loving it!

Re: Promo Materials
You could totally create something on your own too. I have done that.

Re: Promo Materials
I have printed up business cards for the Rangers.
It says "Cornerstone Church Royal Rangers" on top
It has the R/R compass star in the middle.
On either side of the compass it says
"Model Rockets, Camping, Compass, Air Rifle, Survival, Black Powder"
On the bottom, it says,
"Wednesday Nights, 7:00 PM"
On the back, I put a contact phone number, or on some, I put the boy's name in script, "Ranger Johnny Jones", and give some cards to each boy, so that he can use them as calling cards with his friends.
I figure that you may as well put the little guys to work for you.

I like Mark's idea about giving out Ranger Bucks for boys who bring a friend. Good stuff!
