So would you rather have a house without that "not much going on" (Plumbing, Electrical, & Insulation)?

If so, you can pick up a couple of acres here in Mississippi, real cheap!

Pictures are an excellent idea.

Invest $8.00 in a Flash Drive, and take pictures of the wiring, plumbing, and EVERY stud in the house.  You WILL want to know where they are in the future for repairs, or if you need to cut/drill any holes in the wall.

ALSO;

NOW is the time to put a small wall safe in.  Get a good one that cannot be pried open.  They run between $89.00 and $125.00.

http://www.harborfreight.com/922-cubic-inch-digital-wall-safe-97081.html

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-Wall-Safe-Box-Keypad-Lock-Security-Home-Office-Gun-Cash-Jewelry-/301378361590?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item462b8cd8f6

They are designed to fit perfectly in between the studs of the wall.  It only takes 1/2 hour to bolt in between the studs while you are building the house.  I put one in my Study, and it's a great place for prescription medication, the loose cash that is left over from vacation, and I also put the loaded clips for my "Armadillo" rifle that I keep in the living room closet.

Even with the "Hard Room" that I have, I wish that I had installed 2 of these, instead of only 1.

When I built a house up from my folks. I made a house manual that went with it. Full of pictures and diagrams. The realitors marveled at it....they had never seen a house manual.

That is a good idea about wall safes Claymore. Make one in the floor too and cover it with a rug for when Barry S. comes for our guns.

I'll light the fire, you put the flowers in the vase that you bought today.
Staring at the fire for hours and hours while I listen to you
Play your love songs all night long for me, only for me.

Come to me now and rest your head for just five minutes, everything is good.
Such a cozy room, the windows are illuminated by the
Sunshine through them, fiery gems for you, only for you.

Our house is a very, very fine house with two cats in the yard, life used to be so hard,
Now everything is easy cause of you and our la, la, la..

When we built this house, we wrote scripture verses on the studs prior to the Drywall going on. That way, they will always be in there, and if (in the future) anyone tears the drywall off for improvements, they'll get a bit of "Witnessing".

If they are Christians, they will be pleasantly pleased.

If they are not, it will aggravate the Snot out of them, not knowing how many Scriptures are nestled within the other walls of the house.

All the painting is now done (walls & trim)
Our cabinets were delivered Wednesday & counter tops today.

After 6 months (since the initial request) Consumers Power has finally gotten around to hooking up our power. Some of the plumbing, electrical & HVAC work has been delayed due to lack of power. so things can now move forward cheers
