Water Merit Badge

This is one of those ideas that is half joke but possibly has some merit.
Wild Water Merit - Green

1. Pretend you are lost in the woods, Identify 3 means of gathering water from the wild.
2. Demonstrate you ability to gather 32 oz of water from the wild.
3. Start a fire and bring 32 oz water to a boil in 15 minutes or less.
4. Discuss the reasons and need for treatment of water
5. Construct a filter with only natural materials.
6. Construct a filter with material you would commonly have on a camp.  
7. Construct a solar still.
8.  Discuss Water Baptism.  What your church believes and what water baptism symbolizes.

Don't get me wrong. It would be a dream to be paid to do Rangers, but I doubt they would want me. I've found success in a silly ol camping program.

9. Sing "Cool, clear water" (Sons of the Pioneers)

I think it would be a good merit. That would add a whole new level to survival camps, to head out without water too...  

Good job Stouds. A job in Springfield would most likely be a pay cut for sure.
We do many of these things on a survival campout yet it would be good to focus on one thing like this and get proficient at it.
