Inviting the Unchurched

If your church has small groups, one of the things that many struggle with is finding topics/curriculum that the unchurched would feel comfortable with and accept an invitation to attend. For example, "Finding Your Inner Prophet" doesn't usually appeal to them. My church has done Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace, a Prepper series, and others. A new one we're doing this fall is put together by Dave Stotts, a Christian teacher.

He has 4 different video series, and this one is "America, Columbus to the Constitution." I just watched the first episode and it's nothing short of fantastic. Very engaging, visually appealing, and solidly Christian. In fact, I'm going to invite the youth group to join our adult group. It could also be used by families, homeschoolers and Christian schools.

It looks interesting, but our satellite has such poor service that I could not even watch the trailer.

We should be getting fiber internet within the next 6 to 8 weeks, and I will attempt to check it out again.

We do not have any "small groups".  We are so small now (12 people) that we just have Sunday morning service & a Wednesday night Bible study

Hang in there. Quality, not quantity, is the more important attribute. Keep oil in your lamp, so you're always ready.

Like JoeCool said, God's math is not our math. Remember, it wasn't any harder for him to feed the 5,000 than it was to make a few jugs of wine for a wedding.

Maybe your church is the right place for those 12 people, and maybe the next Billy Graham or Saint Paul could come from there.

Who knows?
