God and Country
Who out there remembers the God and Country program? While not specifically AG-related, it was allowed in Royal Rangers for the longest time. I e-mailed Springfield this week, and they told me it hasn't been allowed in Rangers for nearly a decade, because they want boys to focus on Bible/Leadership merits.
I looked up the program online and have noted a few changes, like doing away with the actual God and Country award curriculum. They still have God and Me, God and Family, etc. Before I invest in it, does anybody have any recent experience with it?

(Oh, what a shocker! Just about the time that Doug Marsh took over the Program. The same "not raised in America" Director who undid every military or patriotic aspect of Royal Rangers.)
I had looked at the program, a couple of years ago.
It almost looked like the sponsors of the Program were attempting to take it apart. Also, the award medals (which had been allowed on the Ranger uniform) had gone from being a nice "military-looking" medal to a goofy multi-colored inclusion-looking medal.
Like many incidents of banging my head against the wall, I just decided to find other avenues for my time and efforts.

Although I can't remember what the Christian comedian's routine was about, I recall his catchphrase: "Put a helmet on it!"
Yes, I also noticed that the nice-looking medals were gone. The multi-colors were suspicious, but I didn't find any "alphabet" linkage. The curriculum's "pizza" way of organizing each lesson seems weak. I'm sure they thought it would be fun, but it feels awkward.
Maybe I'll keep looking. I wonder what Trail Life has, and if they'd allow me to buy it.
