Float Trip with Friends of Royal Rangers
This Friday night July 26th - 27th -28th. 5:30 pm to about Sunday 2 pm.
20 friends of Royal Rangers including Royal Rangers head out to a 2 night float trip.
Floating around the Twin Bridges Canoe Rental Area.
It's a mixed group of Christain folk. We will drive to the put in site and camp over night at a primative camping area. Then in the morning run the shuttle vehicles and set out carrying all our gear for camping on the River. Many hammocks I estimate 6 will be there and a great time is to be had.
Council fires Friday night Sat morning devotin Sat night Council Fire and Sunday morning Church.
We have had a little rain this week so the rivers should have water in them. Top half of the trip is fed by rain and the bottom half the cold half is fed by Springs.
Looking forward to the float.
This event has been on the calender for almost a year. Planing these things a year out gives them a chance to take place. In a couple of months we will finializie planning for 2014. Our District just sent out the tentative calendar for 2014. I share this info with you to put some dates on your outpost calendar. It's not long before you have a great group of Christian folk heading out to enjoy the outside world.

That sounds like a great time! I'd love to do a trip like that. I look on Craigslist for good deals on canoes every now and then. I see decent prices at times, but I'm not in the place to make a move yet. We're still trying to get everyone outfitted for at least car camping and backpacking as they can afford it.Mark Jones wrote:This Friday night July 26th - 27th -28th. 5:30 pm to about Sunday 2 pm.

That's one thing I need to do now is plan some events a year out so they get cemented onto the calendar! I'm tired of things getting bumped.... I know sometimes it's unavoidable, but I believe that it would help make it a more permanent date.

Re: Float Trip with Friends of Royal Rangers
When things get bumped we loose ground. I think it's happend to me maybe 3 times in 20 years. So with 30 outings a year it's a rare thing. Folks know if we say we are going to do something we do it. Yup 80% chance of rain for a backpack... yah I will stay home! The whole time I will be pacing back and forth like a caged lion...GRIN!
Calendars are one of the most important thing you will learn in the WCO. I agree with those teachings.
We hand out a calendar at our COA it's a yearly Outpost calendar. I use Microsoft publisher to make the calendar.
