Council of Achievement COA preparations
This morning I finished printing out 210 COA certficates took about 10 minutes while I ate breakfast and then sent in about 106 merit/achievement/advancement orders to GPH through our District.
Each certficate computer generated. It also records the merit, creates a GPH order Form and once the dust settles and all the changes are made from the various Outpost Commanders it creates a power point slide of all the boys merits completed during this COA time frame.
This is the main data entry screen for Merits-Advancements. Have your browser magnifiy so you can see the fine print (IE is right lower corner change it to 200% to get a good view.
Data can be pulled by any of the fields listed. By a date range, a age group, a leaders name, by a quarter, by advancement name. I can quickly tell you how many merits we gave out last year in a couple of seconds.
It's easy and it's fun. You do need to buy a stack paper cutter to cut 200 certificates out of card stock. It would wear you out trying to do it 4 at a time. A Stack paper cutter does it all in one cut. Same goes for the Ranger Database. Ciick one button it prints out ALL the COA certificates at once...or just a age group if you want to.

p.s. Just like Salvation it's a free gift. If you have questions about either Salvation or the Ranger Database send me a eamil. markjonesranger@hotmail.com

Re: Council of Achievement COA preparations
Ha. This morning I woke up to my Router asking for my log in information... what is it now?
Will fix it tonight when I get home. I think my AVAST has something to do with it. Who knows! It's like taking 5 children in a room and taking half out side the room to see which one is the trouble maker... then adding them back in one at a time to see who is really the troublemaker or just the aggravator causing the trouble maker to mess it up.
Anyway. Council of Achievement time is fun! As long as the Computer, printer, paper cutter, staff, boys, church all cooperate..HA..like that will ever happen! A perfect world ....um...er... well every now and then it gets good!

I well it was two things playing tug of war with a IP address. Router and Server was having a bad day. All it took was 3 reboots and it all came up again. Don't ask me why 3 reboots... first 3 didn't clear the issue. Computers!
