devils den calleth out! Were going backpacking there this weekend.
Well I have 20 asking about going backpacking this weekend. Another 10 out on the limb waiting to see if they get a better offer... (they will be calling and I will just have to say...sorry you decided to late no more seats are open unless you can find someone else to drive you there.)
This will be a Entry Level Backpack and Day hike. EZ with a night hike in about 1/4 mile in the dark down a steep hill camping down along Long Creek.
Saturday we will leave base camp with our day packs and hike about 9 miles. Going up on top of Pilot Knob and then bush whacking along Long Creek back to base camp.... a fun but not to difficult hike. If you can walk you can make this trip no problem. (I can't say that on some of our backpacks) GRIN!
Report and pictures to follow. WE have about 4 churches of Rangers and friends going.

In 2 weeks were going to Compton Trail head on top of Hemmend in Hollow Falls. Now that is scenery. It's awesome...I can't wait to get pictures. On this backpack I left my camera at home as it's mainly just woods and trails. Only 2 miles of creek and of course the Top view...I guess it was pretty good scenery....GRIN!
