Regatta 2024 we leave tommarrow!

After doing this every year for almost 30 years it still is exciting!  We got a early start on boat building.  We have 4 cardboard boats ready to go to the Race on Saturday.  

Having taught our boys how to build boats for the past 6 years. The 16 to 17 year olds made up their own design (looked very similar to what I had been giving them for the past 6 years) and they even made up a cardstock model (just like I taught them the last 6 years) GRIN! I had nothing to do with it and they will tell you so. Either way THEY built this 16' long boat that is AWESOME! I am so very proud of them in Jesus name! One is a Territorial Scout, One is a District Scout and One is a Division Scout. Hum these guys have skills!

Today.  I get to load up the trailer with all the stuff it takes to run a Regatta Race.  Lot's of stuff!  Here is the list!

Mark, do you coat them with shellac or sealant?

Most any one part sealer... no tar based products.

Regatta is a lot of fun and accomplishment. I enjoy building the boats with the boys.

We are loading up 4 boats in a bit and heading out. It's going to be hot!
