The Sound of Freedom

It's not going to get a wide distribution, for reasons spelled out in the below video clip, but we all need to see The Sound of Freedom, which opens on July 4th. It's the absolutely true story of a man who rescued children out of sex trafficking. It stars Jim Caviezal, who says its the best script he's seen since Passion of the Christ. This movie holds no punches, laying out how elite individuals and corporations, even our own government, are a part of this insidious world-wide crime.

In a related "sound of freedom," the US Supreme Court ruled this week in favor of a postal worker to not be forced to work on Sundays, and in favor of a website designer who didn't want to create something for a gay couple. Both cases were closely tied to religious freedom. Leftists are livid. Expect another round of demands to pack the court in order to flip it liberal.

This is the key issue: Do our rights come from God, as our founding documents state, or are our rights to be dependent on the whim of a government that increasingly longs to have total control?

How many more Independence Days are left to us? How long until the Rapture, which gives us eternal freedom?

Due to concerns about trafficking of kids at the southern border, in 2019 the Trump administration began DNA familial testing. It was found that up to 30% of the adults who were claiming custody of the kids were not in fact related to them. There are well-founded fears that prior to Trump's program, these kids were either abandoned or trafficked within the US.

On May 31st of this year, the Biden admin ended all familial testing at the border, saying that the FBI has an existing system to cover it. (Then why didn't it work prior to 2019?) GOP reps are unconvinced, and have introduced legislation to re-start the program.

I'd like to introduce something as well. The Millstone Of the Month Award goes to the Biden admin, for putting children back into harm's way.

Just back from watching The Sound of Freedom. I won't spoil it for you, but the packed audience did applaud at the end. The original local 2-day run has been extended for another 5 days. I hope you get a chance to see it in your area.

In a clip right after the movie, it was revealed that it had been made 5 years ago, but was shelved by the company who had the rights to it. The original producers finally got it back and put it out there for everyone to see. Now what company would bury a well-directed film and compelling story with a star playing a real-life person who did an amazing thing like rescuing kids from pedophiles?
