NRA BASIC RIFLE COURSE Empty NRA BASIC RIFLE COURSE

Post by Dave Stewart on July 22nd 2019, 4:41 pm

I received an E-mail from the So.Mo. district today about the NRA BASIC RIFLE COURSE scheduled for September 19-20 2019 my Question is do i need to bring a rifle for this course? if so is a 22 cal. sufficient for this or a 4/10 single shot? Or is this course a lecture and paperwork only?

If this is the wrong place to ask something like this Just delete my question.

This is a great place to ask, but I'm not the one to answer it. I'll send a personal e-mail to Claymore so he's sure to see it.

It is up to the individual Instructor. It IS a shooting course. The Instructor can either provide them or ask students to bring their own.

About 20 years ago, I purchased six surplus Romanian .22 bolt action rifles for $65.00 each, so that all of the students were using the same rifles -- but that was just me...….

Technically, you can even do the "shooting" portion of the Class on an indoor range, using Air Rifles or BB-Guns.  The Safety Rules and Fundamentals of Shooting are still the same.

(And that is exactly what we do with our Rangers.)
