Eye of the Needle once again! It's a Wow backpack

Post by Mark Jones on October 25th 2017, 7:23 am

Heading out a week from Friday to the Eye of the Needle. 5 miles of sure technical trail. 2 weeks out and already have 8 ready to go. I figure that number to double this next week.

If you want a wow place to take your Rangers this is the place. It's awesome. Following a creek up a ravine criss crossing up one side down the other. Every step has to be thought out. Good thing is base camp is only a mile away from the car. The day hike will wear you out.

Report and pictures due after the event.
Pictures from 2015 of this trip going from the top down.

We had a great time once again. We know were tough and the trail is too hard when we meet 3 first year Evangel University girls there. Along with 24 others mostly ladies in that group with maybe a third of them men. The trek is rated one of the most hazardous.....

That was fun. Were doing Richland Creek 2 nighter in 2 weeks. That place is wild and remote! BOO! Bring it on.

After the fog on this trip I am going to look at the forecast a bit closer.
