The Trump Effect

Post by joecool on December 20th 2016, 11:39 pm

Figured it was time to start a dedicated thread to the amazing things that have been happening since the presidential election. Three months ago, the Navy announced a complete overhaul of the titles of Navy enlisted ratings. You know, so they wouldn't be gender-offensive and stuff like that. Today, the Navy rescinded that order. Hundreds of years of tradition (and common sense) remain intact. Thank you, President Trump. cheers

Besides Ford and Carrier agreeing to keep jobs in America, there's a Japanese tycoon who pledged to create an additional 50,000 jobs in the USA. And the stock market (of which I never personally trust) is very bullish. Tell me again why Wall Street backed Clinton?

Boeing announced today that they are lowering the price of the new "Air Force One" aircraft. More money stays in the taxpayers' pockets.

I read that a lot of singers, because of leftist boycott threats, are declining to perform at Trump's inauguration. How about we throw together a band and meet in D.C. next month? Phillip? Guitar

By the way, I hear that the"Snowflakes" want to end the Electoral College, so that this never happens again.

Geed luck in getting 2/3 of the States (flyover country) to ratify a Constitutional Amendment on that one.

Kalifornia and NYC have more chance of seceding from the Union. Maybe Putin can use them as matching book-ends to go along with his slice of Ukraine.

Are they crazy? Without California (and its electoral votes) as part of the union, the Democrats would NEVER, EVER win another national election. Hmmmm, does their secession movement need contributions?

Politics is an interesting thing for sure. It's interesting watching certain people I know losing their minds over trump. I knew they were liberal leaning, but I had no idea... Shocked

Now Trump is making the builders of the outrageously expensive F-35 sweat. All it took was one little tweet about how much he likes Boeing's Super Hornet. Trump is breaking all the rules that were made by the establishment and their financial enablers. Impressive results so far. What's he going to do once he's actually sworn in? Obama bragged about his phone and a pen, but Trump has his magical eraser.

I have no doubt that The Donald will irritate me from time to time, but it sure feels good so far.

After a reprehensible UN vote, Trump said that things will be different come Jan 20th. Today, for the first time in like 36 years, America threw Israel under the bus. Shame on Obama, but what else should we expect from a closet Muslim? Lord, hold your fury. Please wait for Trump to be our leader.

Interestingly enough.... The Canadian Government recently announced that they were going to purchase 18 new Super Hornets to meet the needs of the RCAF until such time that an open competition could be held to replace our current fleet of CF-18's. The previous Government had committed to buy the F-35's but there was lots of turmoil around how that choice was made. Now that choice might also be erased and possibly more super hornets purchased?

In a public message today, the CEO of Lockheed promised to give Americans the best F-35 possible, and at a reduced price. I'm telling you, Trump should write a book and call it something like "The Art of the Deal".

Today, a bipartisan Congressional committee called on Trump to squeeze the money supply to terrorists. We've known for years that it would reduce their effectiveness. It's a tacit admission that Obama didn't want to do it, or couldn't do it. Go Trump!

And today's good news...projecting a more robust economy under President Trump, the CEO of US Steel says he expects 10,000 new jobs.

I can tell you what some Canadians think. I had a group of them in my Uber during postseason MLB during the ALCS and while Trump wasn't their favorite he definitely beat crooked Hillary in their opinion.

What do you all think of his recent tweet on needing to strengthen our nuclear arsenal? Don't we have enough nukes?

What is it about liberals that make them want to celebrate dead homosexuals ad nauseum? It's been close to a week and he's still on the front page. My only memory of him is when he got arrested in the mausoleum..."looking for love in all the wrong places." Guitar
