Re: Fred Deaver passed away
Fred is and was a icon of the JB method of rangers. While he wouldn't say anything about the way things had gone he would where he could emphasis on tried and true methods.
He was my sr. guide in 2 ntcs. While I didn't hold those methods up for the good of rangers Fred did a good job of playing his part in that camp.
My first impression on Fred was this guy needs to get saved. (he was a great drill instructor) Yet after some years of working around him and talking with him I found him to be right on.
We will miss a good hand down here on this earth yet I know the effects of aging and I know that Fred is in a much better place and with no age effects he will feel like he is in heaven as I know he is. Yup well done Fred Deaver.
