Syria's ambassador to India said that "maybe 20% of (our) refugees have ISIS connections."

Upwards of 70% of Syria's refugees are unaccompanied men of fighting age.

The director of the FBI says we don't have the ability to adequately vet Syrian refugees.

Canada's leader says that they will only accept children, women and families. Why can't our president use common sense and adopt a similar policy?

"There is no need for war. There is always surrender." George Orwell, 1984

This is what it all boils down to. We can bypass decades of indecision, with its half steps and deep pain, by just giving in to a Caliphate now. Or, we can choose to make the hard decision to go to war and get it over with in a year. No half-stepping, though. Putin-Hollande-style...pitiless. And ask for God's forgiveness.

The news analysts are saying that the plane was warned 10 times prior to the shoot-down.

They also say that the incursions by the Russian Jet were probably at the direction of the Russian Field Commanders, rather than Moscow.

(Kind-of like the shoot-down of K.A.L. Flight 007 -- in reverse.)

The Russian SU-24 was shot down by an American-Made F-16.

During the Cold War, Russia and the US generally "fought" through their proxies, never against each other (at least out in the open). The Middle East is fast becoming an area where this may change. Hmm. Doesn't Revelations give a formula?

This may paint us into a corner.

Turkey is a NATO Member.  By NATO Treaty, if Russia attacks them, than ALL member nations must ally with Turkey against Russia.  This COULD be WW III.

If the Member Nations renege and do NOT support Turkey, then it renders NATO useless, and Putin can continue his march across Eastern Europe.

I don't like this situation, but Putin has directed his Generals to go bully any nations in their Area of Operation.  They did it in Ukraine, and were not stopped by "America" that promised to protect them, if they/Ukraine would give up their Nuclear Force (that worked out well for them).

Here are more examples of recent Russian "bullying":

50's no wind. Had our turkey dinner tonight. Tomorrow will be retail Blitz for Walmart. I'll get a catered dinner from Bob Evans!  Hoping weather stays decent and I can play with my new Winchester SXP 12 ga.

Had a good time at the pastor's house as usual for Thanksgiving. I fried 4 turkeys, Bryan smoked 4, and my brother roasted one in an upside down turkey frying pot with charcoal all around it. The meat fell off the bones on that one. Ended up having 41 in attendance today. All in all a good day!

I think stores missed it when they started doing the sales on Thursday and even 12am Friday morning. I think that was a case of short term gain, long term pain. They all need to go back to 6am Friday morning because it fosters anticipation and excitement that has been lost over the past few years. Yes the economy isn't what it used to be, but they really deflated the whole thing by statting it before Friday morning. IMO.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Day after thanksgiving is a wet 32 degree 100% rain. It's been a cold wet $$$$$ money day double time and a half. YUP went up 4 percentage points in taxes today.

Been out all morning running ghosts out of broadband lines. In about 6 yards climbing up fences looking for phone boxes. Got it fixed after 4 hours in the rain.

When you have done all that you know to do is right it better work... it did....but it sure got me wet trouble shooting about 4 things that kept it from working. grrrrrr. $$$$$$ grin.

Mark Jones
p.s. I am staying home Saturday. No backpacking in this mess for me this weekend. My son is mad at me.
